NWA's French Broad Summer Adventure

I remember it vividly. Water rushing by me. The warmth of the sun on my neck and arms. I was in the French Broad River in Hot Springs NC. It was 2007 on NWA's 1st French Broad Summer Adventure. I had a great buddy beside me and I decided to cast my Beetle Crawl Spinner behind the barely submerged rock. BAM. Like a rocket a 3lbs Smallmouth Bass exploded onto the bait jumping out of the water and giving me one awesome fight. It was so memorable and exhilarating. It was a great start to the beginning of our annual French Broad Summer Adventure.

This year will be our 3rd time to Hot Springs. We will again be camping at Hot Springs Inn and Spa. Cost is really up to you. There is a suggested donation of $15pp to NWA to cover administrative/material cost above your trip expense, but it is not required. You will just need to take care of your own lodging, food, bait, license and travel. We will be camping together and splitting the cost of the food, lodging if you like or you can rent a hotel room if you'd rather not camp. Last year the cost for each guy averaged $50-$100 a piece depending on how much you spend on food, lures etc.....

This is a great introduction to the ministry of New Wilderness Adventures. It's a great father/son time (12 and up) and the camp fire times at night are really uplifting and healing. You can also launch out from the camp ground to fish, hike the Appalachian Trail, raft, canoe and many other adventures. It's really up to you.
