Oklahoma - Let's connect!
Oklahoma people need to find each other and share what's going on! There is a group of OKC area people already. Someone please create one for Tulsa area, Lawton area, etc. The need is TREMENDOUS for authentic, New Testament communities of believers in our towns and cities. There is something better than either good-ol'-boy religion or the bar scene! We know it and our friends need to know.

Yes Bekah, But you might be the one to start such a group. Could it be? I dont believe it could not be you. have you prayed about it? Why not you? I have same problem and tried to find a group in my area of the state. We are 100 miles from almost anyone in Simple Church and they are just starting and looking for a group to join. We started one a few months ago and are still the only one. I feel like at least we have our bait in the water and God will provide when we are ready. Waiting on Him is Good! Someone once told me, If you think you are going too slow, slow down! God bless you and you will find it!

Thanks! I don't think it can't be me...
I just don't know where to start. I'm not outgoing. I'm very wary of religiony-things... And I have virtually real friends in the area. I've started with small things, like having people over for dinner... but it hasn't started to develop into anything... All the people I really love to discuss spiritual things with live far away, and whenever I've tried to connect with people in Tulsa... well... they can be kinda Christian weird... and I am so done with Christian weird...

I could use your words....! I don't think it can't be me? I have an idea. When we first started it was just us. Denise and I. We went online and worshiped with Northland Church in Orlando. If you log in you can see a map that shows where others are and even chat with them. They have service on Sat, Sun, and Monday. As we began to connect with others God brought others that live near us into fellowship. Now we can do everything here with local people. We still Worship on sat at 5PM with Northland. We have become a site for them. They publish our information in their paper and online. It is a great way to let others know you seek fellowship. Many of the people online have only 1-3 people with them. You could invite others over and share a meal after the service. Joel is a great teacher and they ask for nothing to help you. Give it some prayer or a try. Remember, you are never alone. If you go on Saturday we will look for you. You may see others that live near you also. We have met folks in the area and talked by phone. We are planning a meeting soon. Please dont give up and believe that God cannot us you to start a huge fire for Him. You have come this far, now keep moving, He is with you.
