There is a reason you didn't die and go to heaven to be with Jesus when you were first born again. Its your divine mission to invade the impossible while you are here! Reality to the Christian is measured by the impact of the impossible.
Most of what Christians attribute to God can be done by the Rotary. God may be involved, but only human talent and skills are needed. Its doing what humans are able to do.
There is a little satisfaction in that, but not for very long. It's nothing like having cancer disappear. It's nothing like the mother that lost the use of one arm to an accident, lost three inches of bone. She couldn't grasp, couldn't raise her arm; she couldn't pick up her two year old because of this surgery. She had five surgeries in four and a half years. There was nothing like watching a lady pray for her and watching God add the three inches of bone adding all movement, all feeling, everything. Then she goes to pick up her two year old and her little girl says "No mommy, broken arm" because that's all she has heard her whole life. To then see her say to her little girl, "No, it's ok now."
There isn't anything you can accomplish that will compare to to the moment of seeing that little girl held by her mother. But, that is really who you are. How do you see your part in finding this treasure and this supply that brings the heaven here?
God has been wanting to get outside.. outside the doors of heaven... and outside the walls of the church ... for a very long time. Do you think he enjoys doing these impossible things among us?
