Can This Site Make a Home Church Search
I don't know if this would be possible, but it would be nice if there was some way for a site like this to be able to make it so people can advertise or click a button on showing they are looking for a home church assembly or looking for more to join one they've started. I would like to be able to have it show people by location relative to one's own location and show people from the closest to the farthest.
I think a lot of people would be interested in doing the home church but finding other interested parties here is like a needle in a hay stack. I'm interested in the idea but who knows if there is any members here in reasonable range from me. Living in a congested area, that isn't far.
I think a feature like this would attract a lot of people and keep people coming back to this site with anticipation that someone joined who is looking for a home church and happens to live close by. There might be someone or two now, but how could I ever know?

Hi, Ryan. As far as I can discern from your description of what you're looking for, that very search tool is here on the site. Use the "Community" tab at the top of the page to search members by name or by location (enter either, and click the cute blue search icon to get a list), or to search groups that are using an identifyer. Then you can make more direct contact with people.

Most Home Churches are independent not aliened with any other group or intuition with is the biblical way to do it. But the down side is that they can not be tracked and making a list of this would not be possible. The best way to find them is to ask around at Christian book stores in your local area. There are sites that have small limited lists but usually you find that most on the list are in major population areas only.

Www are trying to do that for our state at http://washingtonhousechurches.net Hopefully, others will do the same elsewhere to make it easier to find each other out there. We just launched today (5/12/11) so hopefully it will grow quickly.

Housechurch network has a registry, you go to it and simply type in your area dn house churches in your area are there.
