Hey Jim... Have you checked out: http://www.housechurchresource.org/

On the left they have a link called: Find an Organic Church

There's a form there to fill out.
We're hosting some meetings with Milt Rodriguez July31,Aug.01, Aug.02 about 45 minutes north of Bellingham, WA. in a little town called, Mission, BC Canada.

Milt's website is http://www.therebuilders.org/

We're hoping some of our American brothers and sisters from northern Washington will be able to attend and connect.
One of the purposes of the meetings is to see some Organic churches start up all over the Pacific Northwest.

We put a small ad in our local paper and found some folks that way. It's tough.

God bless you, Jim.

Thanks, Ron. Mission, BC would be about 2 hours north of here. We'll have to see if we can make arrangements to spend a couple of days there at that time... I did check out "Finding and organic/simple church" and filled out the form but haven't had a reply as yet... We also have Hispanic friends trying to plant churches here and we'd like to orient them to the organic church approach. Right now they're trying to find denominational/institutional "pastors" who're willing to share facilities with them. But, they are being met with good old institutional frustration again and again. I'd like to get them Frank Viola's material in Spanish, if possible... Thanks again... Jim Nelson

Hi, Ron... Blessed Resurrection Passover to you too. [From the Spanish for Easter]... It's been a couple of weeks since I last spoke with our Hispanic friends. And I have received no response from my inquiry about Frank's books in Spanish. As soon as I have knowledge of how to get them in Spanish I'll get in touch with our H. brother & sister... And we have not yet moved to try to get some folks together yet. We're still reading and adjusting our hearts and minds to organic church, still in some dismay about having spent our whole lives in denomination without knowing what has been and is the matter with it all. My spouse, Connie is reading Pagan Christianity now and I recently finished Reimagining Church and have begun From Eternity to Here, which I find almost overwhelming in its portrayal of God's great purpose. We're also in some dismay with what to do about our affiliation with our present small congregation and "pastor person". We get slammed back and forth in our thoughts like we're in a too small boat crossing the bar with that extra choppy wave action. I've tried to share about it a bit with our "pastor" [Or sould I substitute, "our congregation's Nicolaitan or Hierarch?"] who is quite unaware of any of this as far as I know. And I suspect that his chief response will probably be a feeling that we're not properly supportive of him and his ministry... So, we need much heart-help and direction from our Lord as to what's next for us to do. Please pray for us as He prompts you to... Big blessings... Jim Nelson
Hi Jim,

My family and I are in Bellevue, been gathering with 6-7 families in Puget Sound area for 8-9 years. Not spending much time in simplechurch.com these days (spending more over on simplechurchseattle.com) but popped in tonight and stumbled across your post. Very familiar with the journey you write about. The families we gather with are from north seattle, west seattle, bothell, beacon hill area, and us in bellevue. Our N. seattle friends speak spanish and are very involved in a mexico house building activity (http://www.clubrust.com/). Interesting possible affinity with your hispanic friends.

I would love to get together, have coffee, swap stories anytime soon! If interested, let me know - not sure how to send email here, but if you can figure that out, great, or you can go over to simplechurchseattle.com and send me a private message, and we can calendar something.

Look forward to meeting,

Hey Jim, there's good interest in a public gathering among simple church folks in the seattle area. Hope you can join. See http://simplechurchseattle.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=40 - you can chime in on that site and let the gang know if you can make it.
