I would very much like to hear your experience.
I have read many stories about people who have died and entered the realm of heaven. Many met Jesus and other people and even dead relatives, before they were revived.
I find their testimonies very fascinating, so please tell us all.
But it was not real death your heart stopped 4 times is all but you never really died because no one but JESUS has the power over live or death. You had what is called a near death experience
Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
If it was your time no one can stop it. Like the high school basketball player who just up and died after shooting the winning basket. It was his time and the paramedics did all they could but they could not bring him back.
Jesus brought back Lazarus because only Jesus can no body else has that power. Some times GOD guides the hands of surgeons I do believe that.
I am glad it strengthens your faith and since you are a Christian I am really glad. I once meet a Mormon who had a experience like yours so you could not convince this person that Mormonism was a false teaching because of his near death experience. I have heard this about new agers, Hindus and muslins as well. I mean the mind is a powerful and wonderful thing and while it is still active it can make see what ever you imagine, I am just saying. When I was a medic in the Military we were taught to watch what we say around patients or in the hospitals because people in coma or when other wise you think they could never hear you they do.
Only you know what you saw and experienced.
When someone recovers within the intervention of human aide, we know this to be a Mercy from our Father.
Acts 9 accounts Peter and and the raising of Dorcas/Tabitha from the dead; as the have been many such Miracles to the power of God in Christ since His ascension. The Holy Spirit was sent so that He might dwell in us: the fullness of Christ, with all of His Grace, Truth and power. Paul's letter to the ekklesia in Ephesus reminds in the same.
just received this report of God's Mercy to Rog...
Hebrews 9:27 says once to die. I believe that you only die once and I think that verse is solid and says what it says and only means what it says. No play on words. There are near death experiences and those people do come back from but no body comes back once they die.
I am skeptical about people with near death experiences because I have heard so many times from folks in false religions that they experienced there version of the after life as proof of there faith. So how do I deal with a person of my own faith when they represent that kind of experience. I would like to believe them I really would but because of hearing Mormons, Hindus and Muslims going though that it is hard for me to believe it. Do you get were I am coming from and why I say what I say.
I mind is very wonderful and we can dream up so many things. The mind is definitely alive when people go threw these death experiences and if the mind is alive how can they be dead. If the mind dies and they come back would not the mind be damaged and they would come back retarded or some thing. Heck I do not know.
I do not want to say our brother is wrong he is one of the good guys one of us. But how do I react to such a thing after knowing about other peoples claims. Is it that Satan tricks them in to thinking that they experienced something real and it was not while our brother say the real thing. I just do not know. So since I do not know I have to rely on GOD’s word for the truth. And Hebrews 9:27 says once to die.
I base my faith on knowlage and not feelings. I do not trust my feeling only knowlage. I know I am saved becouse of knowlage in goods word not how I feel.
So Hebrews 9v27 proves that a man cannot be brought back to life after he has died. Perhaps you should address idea that to the Apostle Matthew. He obviously got it wrong when he wrote Matt 27v52.-
"And the graves were opened, and many bodies of the saints that slept were raised. 52. and came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared to many."
These people were very DEAD!!!
Yet they came out of the graves BODILY!!!
They had been buried some time previously. Even if, by mistake, they were not actually dead when buried, they would sure be dead after burying for however long. The death of Jesus caused an earthquake which opened the graves, yet they still had to wait a little longer till Jesus was raised, before they were raised.
I am pretty sure they were DEAD, just as it says.
Also what about Lazarus, whose sisters declared that his corpse would stink if his grave was opened. He came back fully to life. What about all the many other resurrections of dead people in the bible? The bible says they were DEAD.
When we die, our body remains and is buried and rots or is cremated etc, our human spirit rises to be with the Lord. Therefore a person who goes through a near death experience may enter the presence of the Lord and commune with Him before the Doctors revive the body. There is nothing spectacular about this idea, nor does it deny scripture. It just sounds wacky to those who are trapped in unbelief about such things.
Paul mentioned that he had been to the third heaven (throne room of God). Many of the OT prophets had heavenly experiences also.
Many people have had death experiences. Their spirit has left their body and they have been declared dead and been carted down to the morgue and left there.
They have then come back to their body with a tale of witnessing things of heaven. Why should this be so bad. We can argue as long as we like about whether these people, today, or in the bible actually died. However that is irrelevant to the fact that they visited heaven, whilst in their spirit body.

Matthew wrote this but they are GOD’s words.
Matthew 27:50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. Matthew 27:51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
Matthew 27:52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
Matthew 27:53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
Jesus brought them back from the dead as a sign. Key thing here is JESUS did it. It happened right after Jesus gave up the ghost. Only Jesus has the power over death. This does not explain away Hebrews 9:27. We are all appointed one to die then is our judgment. I believe that the moment you are dead you are in front of the great white thrown. Have you ever seen the movie “Princess Bride” the John Wesley was mostly dead but nit dead. I mean at what point are you dead. At the point were you can no longer be revived. So if GOD who knows every thing know that you are going to be revived them why would he let you into the heavenly realm? Do we not all have to face judgment first even though many of us will pass though judgment? We all are judged someday at least we will have to stand before GOD and if our names are in the Lamb’s book of life we are allowed to enter into the presents of GOD. Think about it.
So if you say that thoughts who’s heart stops and the are revived and they tell us the things they say we are to believe it as the truth. You mean that the Mormon the Hindu and the Muslim are also true. That some one who had a near death experience ought to truth it even if it is counter to the bible. I think not. But if it does not go against scriptures then we can at least wonder and if you want to believe it. It really is not that important to me. My faith come from the word of GOD as I am sure yours does too.
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God
I am not saying Mr. Smith did not experience anything or what he saw was real. I am not saying that at all. I do not know what he say or experienced only he and GOD knows that.
Did GOD bring back the Mormon to prove to us that the book of Mormon is scripture; Did GOD being back the Hindu so we will no that the Elephant guy with many arms is really GOD. Did GOD bring back the Muslim to prove that us infidels must be punished gee I hope not. I could go on and on. We can not rely on such things but when it is one of us like Mr. Smith we can listen to his story but I would follow up with scriptures all I am saying
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
See you are anger with me because you do not understand what I am trying to say. I am in no way trying to discredit Mr. Smith as frank and Marshall has alluded too.
Only GOD can bring people back from being dead to being alive. I do not use the word death because death in the bible does not always refer to physical death as in. And I do not want to have to go though and explain ever verse that mentions death in it.
