Ahhhh, you're on to something here...! ;)
I notice that He equates the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heaven ... and He says it doesn't come by observation (but is in our midst -- it's a spiritual realm).
He also says that it's at hand -- here and now -- we can enter it now ... it's not "where we go when we die."
His entire focus was for us to enter this Kingdom ...
Why, then, do we insist on it being something that comes with observation (something we can see with our natural eyes)...? Why do we insist that it will come "one day" ... but is not now "at hand"?
Do we even teach what He taught...? Has religion, and the Christian life, usurped and replaced the Abundant Life that He spoke of...?
I have far more questions than answers at this point, but I suspect that the religion which has upheld the traditions of man is not the place in which to look for the answers.
I suspect that the Kingdom-within would also reveal the answers-within ...
Just what I'm seeing, FWIW ...
Shalom, Dena
In modern circles we are told to focus on personal salvation, When Jesus commissioned his disciples he told them to preach about the kingdom. Mt 10:7,Luke 9:2,10:9. But how much do we hear that today?
