I wonder how many of us are exploring simple church life in the greater Austin area?

Sometimes we can feel like we are quite alone. But I seem to be bumping into people almost every day who are exploring this simple church journey. Yesterday I found out that one of the people that I have been wanting to do business with for the past 18 months has a sister and brother in law who are actively exploring simple churches. Today I met with a former missionary, who was working with simple churches abroad, who is now trying to figure out how this works back here at home. God's family is certainly learning to connect face to face. Maybe this site can also help us to connect in the virtual world and learn much from each other.

Comment by Ellen Hart on January 2, 2011 at 1:17pm: We don't want to be in the "thick of it" so we are looking at properties that are 2 acres or more and are 40 min. or less from University of Texas. We are looking for property between Austin and Dripping Springs. We are full time RVers right now and will be looking for an RV Park to stay in while we look for property. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Comment by Felicity Dale on January 2, 2011 at 2:30pm: When are you coming? There's an RV park that used to be very popular on I35 just near us, but I believe it's changed hands recently. There are several RV parks around.

Comment by Ellen Hart on January 2, 2011 at 2:35pm: We are "waiting on the Lord" right now. We have an investment and are waiting for it to pay out and don't have a specifc date at this time. The estimates are that it will pay out somewhere from the 10th - 17th of Jan. if not sooner. We won't have the money to come to Texas and buy property until we have the money from this investment. So, please keep us in your prayers. Thanks!

I just moved to Austin and visited a relational church that meets in homes this past weekend in Round Rock, and I really enjoyed my time together with them around our Lord! I thought I'd pass on the invite they gave me about the annual fellowship time they are having this Saturday- they said anyone is very welcome to come. There's no cost, but please rsvp so they can make enough awesome food for those who'll be there. I plan go there if you need a ride or something.
