God moving in an economic downturn
I have the sense that the Lord is getting ready to glorify Himself in this economic downturn. I know, in this time, many are recommending against starting a business. However, God doesn't depend on the natural for His plans to come to fruition.
I believe there will be many Christian entrepenuers who will start businesses at this time and will be very successful. I believe the Lord intends this to glorify Himself. He never hesitates to go against what appears to be the case in the natural. He speaks from bushes that are on fire and don't burn up. He causes dead people to come back to life and defy the natural. I believe these new businesses will have life when in the natural they should not be flourishing.
I think God is also doing this as a means of provision for both the Christian community and as a witness to the world at large.
If this is just my natural desire and not from the Lord, I apologize to all the readers. However, I believe it is from Him and no apology is needed.
If you are starting a business or thinking of doing it, I pray the the Lord will bless you beyond what you are thinking of. I pray that He will open the windows of heaven and pour down on you the provisions and support you need to be hugely successful. I pray that you will make the connections you need to make and that the Lord will make your path smooth.
If you are already in business, I pray these same things may happen for you and that your success will be multiplied.
As Christians, we need you and the world needs you.

You are welcome Mitzi. I am just the messenger. I tried doing real estate. That business is really tough. I loved taking clients around and showing homes but I strongly disliked prospecting and getting listings. Like most jobs, it seems a lot easier and more enjoyable from the outside.
The Lord bless you and bring favor in your life. May you be in an office where people encourage one another and are positive and supportive. May He draw clients to you and smooth the way for lots of listings and sales. May He be glorified through the work of your hands. -

Thanks man - awesome post and great encouragement. My wife and I have felt exactly the same thing since last Summer before the economy, election, and the current political mess we find ourselves in... Anyhow, all that aside, thank you for the great post.
We have been in Construction for the last 20 years and other than post 9/11 we have never seen anything like the lack of work we have experienced over the last 12+ months - Like someone just shut off the faucet, "bam", zilch, zip, nada...
We have burned through savings over the last year or so and are now without what we need to support a family of seven so we have gone to some serious prayer and we are hearing the FATHERs heart turned toward us, favoring and choosing us, and leading us to new places of safety, strength, opportunity, ideas, because we feel the very things you have shared.
We have seen supernatural promise unfold in our lives over the last few weeks and we look with expectation for that supernatural promise to build in our new biz efforts creating an even greater environment of faith with opportunity increasing and capturing all of our friends and those the FATHER has set in our spheres of influence.
We further look to GOD our FATHER to go before us and clear the way for us, setting our enemies adrift, away, and otherwise occupied such that we are protected, promoted, and meet every opposition, with freedom and success.
We will remain focused on HIM, and we will not be ashamed!!!
