Hi ....I feel like I've been on a long journey and finally have come back to civilization...Just found this site this week and have been so busy reading all of the blogs and hearing the stories. I had no idea this world existed. I am so glad to know there are others....I live in Springtown and noticed someone from Decatur and someone from Aledo. Looking forward to getting to know everyone in this area. WoW!!! I am so elated....Mitzi

After many hours of design and programming, the website is finally finished!
Check it out here
http://www.theunlearnexperiment.org

Some of the features of the site are:
-An interactive story list that contains 26 of His stories in chronological order. They are available by reading them, hearing them, or seeing them. I will be updating and adding more as time goes on so be sure and check back often. They are also available in English and Spanish.
-A community page that is designed to be experienced holistically and will be totally updated by you! There is photography, art, drawings, paintings, poems, spoken word, podcasts, and much more. If you have anything you want to put on there send it to me! Also, there is an area for learning; papers written by some of the most forward thinkers, and resources for storing and strategizing. The biggest part of the community page is the online cookbook! Recipes from all over the world, and there again these are your recipes so if you have some send them!
-A page devoted to our story and who we are and how we got here. Also a place you can tell your story, so don't be shy share what God has done for you!

This site will be updated often and the goal of this site is the show people the kind of holistic life Christ intended for us to live, away from religion and solely focused on Christ and giving Him glory for everything He has done in your life!

CHECK IT OUT!!

Hi All in DFW,
Sue and I greet you and bless you in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. We lead Release The Spirit Fellowship in our home on Saturday evenings. We are new to this site and are excited to be in relationship, at least electronically, with you. If you have a need, please contact us. We will meet it if we can. We assume we can do likewise. Blessings, Jim

Our 2009 DFW Simple Church Area-Wide Picnic will be held Sunday May 24th at River Legacy Park in Arlington from 11 am to 2 pm. Come and go, very informal - we want to meet people from all over the metroplex who are in simple church expressions. Hope to see you there. We will be at the Elmsford Pavillion right next to the children's playground area.

Regional get together in McKinney on Saturday April 11th:

Joint Fellowship at Finch Park in McKinney - April 11 at 3 p.m.

We want to fellowship and celebrate the Lord together as HIS body. Each of us meet at different communities regularly, but this is an opportunity to join together, meet new people and see what God is doing in other's lives. If you can come and are interested, please bring games, lawn chairs, a few snacks, etc. We will play and visit for a while and if you want, go to a nearby restaurant to eat dinner.

We will try to have a few more of these gatherings in the spring if you cannot make this one. Pass this email to anyone you think may want to go. If it rains, we will reschedule. Click here for a map.

For more information, please contact Claire Ortega at claireortega@yahoo.com.

Dear DFW Organic Folks,

I have been praying about something we can do this year as an organic church community from all over the metroplex that would bless the poor. The Lord has led me through a series of events to focus on the City of Lancaster. I have a friend who is the Chief of Police there. Lancaster is a city of about 35,000 people located just south of Dallas. I have put together a team to plan some mercy ministry there. We are planning to clean up the yards and cut the grass of several elderly people living in Lancaster. One gentleman has received a citation from the city because of the trash in his yard but is too old to clean it up himself. We are mobilizing a team from simple churches all over the metroplex to go out to Lancaster on a Saturday in late May or early June and do some yard work for these folks. Please message me if you or your church is interesting in being a part. Thanks!
