I really like your idea concerning "layers" of community and rhythms of gathering (weekly house church, monthly network worship). this is essentially what the network I'm a part of (ugnchicago.com) is like. I live in Chicago. I'd like to learn more about the bible school.

My wife Sherry, daughter Emily, and I live in St Charles, IL...(relatively near Naperville), and we would love to talk to you and your friends there. We are interested in exploring the Organic Church.

For further clarification: The organic church is the Christ-led, non-institutional church that began shortly after Christ's death, burial and resurrection. The church in the Bible is quite different from what most people think "church" is. We have found Frank Viola's books (Pagan Christianity?, Reimagining Church, and From Eternity to Here) very helpful and descriptive. We also attended the conference on organic church July 16-19 in Orlando. This is what we are looking to build in our area, and we have friends who want to build such gatherings in the Naperville and Grayslake areas.

We live in Wilmette, IL along I-94 and want (badly!) to establish an organic church in our immediate area. We know people in Grayslake (near Gurnee, home of Six Flags Great America), the Naperville area (the "Research Corridor), and Northwest Indiana who also want to do that. Anybody out there interested and close enough for any of us to connect with?

you might also check http://ugnchicago.com as that is the underground network's main page - that will connect you with the ning site and other ways to connect to house churches in chicago. there is a house church i know of up in grays lake that i'd love to connect you to. just message me for more info.
