Relax, take a cup of coffee, and lets discuss what God is doing in Israel pertaining to one of the following subjects:

1.) The remnant of Jewish people coming to follow Yeshua the Nazarene today.
2.) Indigeneous sabra outreach.
3.) Discipleship among the Jewish people.
4.) Planting and fostering Simple churches, organic churches, or house churches in Israel.
5.) Living a Jewish lifestyle and being part of your own indigeneous people in an indigeneous movement.
6.) Israel and the Nations: How indigeneous Jewish Israeli believers relate to Gentile beleivers in the nations and become the "One New Man" of Ephesians.
7.) The Diaspora Corner- How Jewish believers in the diaspora can foster a messianic house church movement.

The Gentile Corner:

8.) How does the Gentile house church movement network and become the "One New Man" with the Jewish house church movement.

9.) Of the Feasts and Of the Sabbath: What can Gentiles learn about their Jewish Roots and receive the sap of the cultivated olive tree.

10.) The Jewish Jesus- What was He like? What was His culture?

Marcy,

Sorry I haven't been here in a while. We were celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkout) and Yom Kippur (Atonement). Still have the Sukka up as part of the feast for eight days, at the end we dance with the Torah with joy, its in six more days. Atonement represents the coming day of judgement as well as the judgement of Yeshua towards sin on the cross. Tabernacles represents the coming kingdom of God on the earth when the glory of God will once again dwell with men, and when Yeshua came as a baby boy to dwell with men as the glory of God personified.

Here is an interesting article by an Orthodox Jewish rabi (head rabi of Oxford University) with similar thoughts about the "simple church" invading the synagogue.

By the way, the thought that revolves around small communities around a table is not that far of a thought from early expressions of Judaism. The synagogue was just a meeting point in a secular building for the public reading of the word from the time of Ezra and Nehemiah. Later, the synagogue copied its "temple style" service from nothing other than the ROman Catholic church (ironic huh?). If one wants to look at the discussion in the Talmud about the role of the synagogue in Jewish life, google the word "Beit Mikdash Me'at" or "lesser temple." This was an argument in the early rabbinical period of Judaism (around the same period as the Byzantine period, 3-6thc CE). I've been doing some heavy duty research in the past year concerning the development of synagogues and "lesser temples" in Judaism. Anyways, I was shocked to find such an honest Orthodox rabi concerning this issue after him repeating much of what I have been researching.... anyways, l'chaiim, cheers!

You could have been with the ICEJ (Christian Embassy)?

Since we are discussing Israel's National Awakening....

Here is a scriputre to ponder on and discuss.
Ezekiel 37
The Valley of Dry Bones
1 The hand of the LORD was upon me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. 2 He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. 3 He asked me, "Son of man, can these bones live?"
I said, "O Sovereign LORD, you alone know."
4 Then he said to me, "Prophesy to these bones and say to them, 'Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! 5 This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath [a] enter you, and you will come to life. 6 I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.' "

7 So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8 I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.

9 Then he said to me, "Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe into these slain, that they may live.' " 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.

11 Then he said to me: "Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They say, 'Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.' 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: O my people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. 13 Then you, my people, will know that I am the LORD, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. 14 I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the LORD have spoken, and I have done it, declares the LORD.' "

Good verses, but most stop too soon. Read on and see it is talking about the "Whole House of Israel". Verses 15 - 28 tells the whole story.... Something else to ponder and discuss : )

Shabbat Shalom!

Either way, the Spirit of the LORD has to be put into them in order for the fulfillment of the Word.

Sid Roth talks about America's role in Israel.

I watched this and thought "duh everyone knows this" but maybe they don't.

As America's has done to Israel

Interesting program and facts... it will make one think. I saw today that President-elect Barack Obama's new Jewish Chief of Staff is Rahm Emanuel. He was active in the Oslo negotiations and choreographed the Rabin-Arafat handshake at the White House. So there seem to be some that think Obama is wanting more of the same. If Obama is wanting to give more Holy Land away and if what the video link you put is true, look out USA. I already hear, whether true or not I don't know, that Obama is wanting to give the East of Jerusalem away.
