To identify who we seek to be as an “Organic House Church” is not that easy!
We are not a denomination, and we do not have any intentions to start one, with over 40,000 denominations in America alone this shows one thing “there is little unity in the institutional Church”.
The best explanation is to say that we are praying for the Lord to build a group of believers who have been led by the Lord to exit the institutional church system in order to follow a path less journeyed. The good news is around 1 million people are leaving the traditional church today every year so don’t feel like you are the only one.
We seek to be faithful to the scriptures, and the New Testament model that form the historical foundation of our faith. We desire to be responsive to the guiding of the Spirit of God, and to acknowledge the body of Christ in all its diversity with Jesus Christ as the head of all we do.
I have personally been following the Lord for twenty seven years, my wife Hayley for nearly 20 years and have ministered in and to denominational church’s through the years as well as in the marketplace and house churches, we have come to relies that our ministry efforts in the traditional churches are not bearing as much fruit in the people we minister to compared to the receptiveness of the house churches. This brings us to this place where the Lord has clearly showed us to stand up and be counted in the Organic Home Church world to walk in brotherly fellowship and accountability surrounded by those who want to follow the Lord in living for Christ as outlined in the Bible building a Godly community.
We are “casting the net on the right side of the boat”, following a clear word of the Lord gave us from John Ch: 21. More will be said on this in article releases soon on our new website www.organicchurch.us
. We are involved in Spiritual leadership ministry as well as business leadership, and have been faithfully active in Christian service across the nations. You could say we have been around long enough to be certain of one thing - we don’t have all the answers and the more we understand the more we realize our need to draw near to Jesus the way the truth and the life.
One thing we do know is that God is looking to do something new in here in Charlotte North Carolina starting in Mint Hill, but we are not going to stop here as our focus is to support the people leaving church to rediscover Jesus.
Our structure, is more than simply changing the way we meet together. We promise not to be conduction our meetings like a church service but in a home. Our focus is to allow the Lord Jesus to guide and direct the meetings so he can build his church in our lives.
Today is a new day and it is a day for a new expression for (many including us) of our faith based on smaller relational communities coming together organically rather than organizationally. If you hunger for the Lord to walk in the fellowship of the body of Christ like I have outlined above please contact us so we can be an encouragement to each other.
The Lord lead me to read a great book called "Pagan Christianity" by Frank Viola and George Barnawww.ptmin.org
helpful research if you read this book.
