Comment by Eric Barkley on April 14, 2011 at 12:15pm Hi Dan:
Seaside. A 100 miles and almost 2 hrs from my door. We were going there once a month to see my mother-in-law until we moved her here to Lincoln City.
I keep looking for Oregon Simple Church people. You in Seaside, & Andrea Lemelin in Newport. The first “coasties” I have seen. Great! We went to the Dallas group 2 times back in 04 or 05, but that too can add up to a lot of gas. That group was “started” by the Salem fellowship, (Nate & Joann Krupp). My wife works the week ends, so we didn't participate at either groups, but fellowship is really necessary. So we figured we were in the desert although it rains at least 125+ inches a year here in Rose Lodge where we live.

Comment by Eric Barkley on April 14, 2011 at 2:04pm Sure, Dan, sounds good. That would be worth a trip up there for some R&R. We have some friends there, Steve & Kay K. In 07 I talked to them a lot about what the LORD has been saying to the church, about it being a non-working, powerless organism. They later started a church that meets in Astoria, or maybe in Seaside, (?) but he is or was using a blueprint out of the IC drawers, Vineyard? They were neighbors of my mother-in-law. You can share spiritual insight, but it may go in one ear and out the other if the hearer is not interested, not being thirsty or hungry for something on the menu you just gave out. That goes back to what the LORD told me years ago, don’t give someone a Word of the LORD unless they ask you for HIS confirmation on something or are asking you for intersession on their behalf.
