I am a former soldier in the very southwest corner of OK about 200 miles southwest of OKC.
I love correspondence with believers no matter where they live

I first met Caleb & Amber B., Rick Carr, Steve & K. OKC, and Lee Smith and others, this fall, for a *calm* sunny picnic in a park. It was so wonderful to gather, naturally, with saints from several different Central Oklahoma areas. Conversation with these kind of Christians is sooo easy.
We left, having met Family in Christ who related to us and to our own trail back to New Testament Church. If you realize that you really belong to (and are a 'member' of) original Ekklesia - then you'll want to meet others, like these, who have have come Home ... under Christ's Leadership.
You'll meet new Christians, veteran Christians, and a few who have been 'House Churching' since the early 80's. When i saw the 'Group' again, here, i knew i had to comment. A Brother and i drove 70+ miles, this Sunday, just to spend a few precious hours visiting one of the 'Simple' churches in Chickasha. Two previous visits had convinced us that it would be worth the journey!
Pleeease hear me: "If you have long been troubled, seeing the 'continental plates' of man-made traditions, "...old wineskins..." and 'interpretive' compromise ... drift further and further from Bethlehem and Calvary - if you are weary of trying church after church - if you sense there must be more intimate fellowship, than with those who don't even know where you live (or that they should) ... then pleeease, find the Early Church and be Your part of Her Return. You are a part of her 'body', too, and can help her on her way ... ... ...

Hello everyone. My wife and I are in the Tulsa area. We have been trying to find a house church in the area for a year. Can anyone point us in the right direction.

Welcome Mark! In the late 80's there was a nice House Church in Tulsa. I visited there, once. It's been about 20 years; I do not know their current status, ok?

At the time, a leading Brother was 'Tom Mohn'. He was an older Brother. He was a veteran Christian, a contemorary and longtime close friend of Gene Edwards. They rotated their gatherings among different homes. His phone # was: 918-743-6953. Other contacts were: 445-0123 & 446-1004
I also wrote down 'Bettes Insurance 41st & Harvard'. Hope this helps? In Christ, Warren. Omega, Oklahoma.

Hello Central Oklahoma Simple/House Churches,

My family and I are in Altus, OK (Southwest, OK) and have only been out of the IC for about a month or so. I'm part of the Soutwest Oklahoma group. I've joined the Central group to connect with others in the state and hopefully meet up sometime with folks in the OKC area when we're able to make it. God's best to you all!

Hi, I'm probably going to post this on Tulsa group as well, even though I bet most of you are in that group too. I'm from Dallas and lived in Tulsa for 10 years about 3 years ago. We moved back to Texas for the 3 years, and now are headed back to Tulsa. Have been involved some in the Simple church network here in Dallas and looking for other believers in and around Tulsa for fellowship. Was involved in IC church most of my life, parents were ministers, and left about 6 years ago while living in Tulsa. Moved to East Texas 2 years ago and got involved again, even as a staff member, and now completely left IC. Will be nice to get together with others for fellowship.

Well, I finally did it! I submitted my letter withdrawing my membership from the IC. It's been a long time coming. I pastored in an IC for 25 years but this has been the best decision I ever made. I've been studying the house church concept for several years and I'm now ready to step out and actually live simple church. Anyone in southern Oklahoma interested in getting together, let me know. We'll see what happens next.

Wow Ken, that is a huge step. Where are you in Southern OK? Our group is meeting in Tulsa the 22nd at my house. You and family are more than welcome.
