This site is great. I hope others find it. It's by far the most interactive site I've come across concerning House churchs.

I know y'all only want Mat Su people but can someone from southeast AK join in this group? I was so happy to see fellow Alaskans on this site that I just about bounced out of my seat! But if you rather your local groups on, that's all right too!

If you're in alaska, you are more than welcome to join. We are so excited to find this simply chuch site. I notice folks are joining every day and I keep looking to see if any other alaskans find thier way here. There's a few of us. and hopefully we'll find those Mat su peoples.

What better way for Alaskans to connect than over the internet! But then my wife Sherry hailed from Fairbanks, I'm from Palmer, but have lived in Douglas/Juneau, Eagle River, Ketchikan and Petersburg. So anything Alaskan goes!

Is everyone up here as cold as me? or am I just whiny,, I've been down 'south' here to long, it's 20below again today. I tried whining to my daughter in Fairbanks and got no smpathy since it's been 45below there the past few days. I've been away from Fairbanks to long, this 20below is just to cold,,

Brrr....teeth chattering...lips tinged blue...but actually, that was me a few weeks ago; we've warmed up to a nice balmy 40+ degrees but it doesn't help that there's still piles of snow every where and there's still ice patches on the road. Just when you think you're safe and driving on road, you are actually on black ice and having loads of fun driving on that!

No whining aloud about the cold, fellow Alaskans, unless you're dumb like my husband and myself because we're actually toughing out our 2nd Alaskan winter in a (gulp, do I dare admit this?) sigh...travel trailer. Yep, that's right. 2 big, no, bigger, more like monster-size dogs, and us in a 23 foot travel trailer in an Alaskan winter. What we were thinking!? I'm still trying to figure that one out.

I've already noticed that the winter dark is slowly getting a little lighter. We haven't had any northern lights down here yet which I was really hoping to see but just been too cloudy.

Hope everybody is staying a little warmer than we are!
