What a wonderful group to be a part of! Thank you for starting this, Felicity.

The conference in Dallas was our first exposure to simple church, although the Lord had been leading us in that direction since the beginning of the year. I am excited to be connected with other women in ministry who are also women in the house/simple church lifestyle.

I have been on staff at a traditional church for the past five years as overseer of the small group ministry, as well as director of counseling. I am not a professional counselor, but a pastoral counselor. I love partnering with Jesus to see Him bind up the brokenhearted and set the captive free!

My family will be going to Central America in October. I am doing a Women's Conference, my husband is doing Prison Ministry, and two of our children (the ones still at home) are working in a baby house that takes in babies the hospitals turn away because they have "no chance." But God!

The opportunities keep growing and it looks as if we will have connections with some families of the prisoners to disciple and possibly plant house churches among them. (Guess we are entering into this new season by getting into the river up over our heads! Ez. 47:5-9)

We are reminded of I Cor. 16:9 which says, "A wide door for effective service has opened to me, and there are many adversaries." That is where we stand and we would greatly appreciate your prayers.

May God direct you in your love, service and friendship to Him!

Hi - I am glad to be here. I don't know much about the simple church movement but what I know speaks to my soul. ~ Julie

Hello Ladies:

I am an attorney in DFW area on sabbatical from the practice to write a book on protecting our inheritance (biblical principles and legal/practical processes to protect and prosper our church, ministry and christian organization). I enjoyed the House2House conference and hope to meet some of you in the future or via this post. Until then, be blessed. Dana

Ladies, glad to meet you. We heartily believe that the purposes of the Kingdom are better served when women discover, become encouraged in, and learn to exercise the gifts God has given them. How is He using some more of you in your present contexts?

Hi Ladies. Enjoyed my first H2H conference. Papa put heavily on my heart to go meet Peg. I believe HE plans to use that relationship greatly. Looking forward to connecting with many of you both here and eventually face to face!

I am a mom of three little ones, a part-time Spanish teacher, and woman desiring to be on mission even in this crazy stage of life. I have a heart for sharing the gospel with the unreached.... I would love to chat with other moms about these sorts of issues. How you deal with children in your gatherings? Ministering with kids... being missional in America.... what does it look like to seek first the kingdom of God in suburbia? And many other practical questions of how this all plays out in the real world.
I love learning from others on the journey so send me your thoughts or visit me at my blog at www.women4thekingdom.wordpress.com

A few tidbits before hitting bed, and getting up early for another conference (strange time of year for us).

I'm 46, married to a marvelous man named Mark (sounding Dr. Suess-ish!), mama to multitudes (8 kids on earth, age 21 down to 2, & 3 more with God), living in Dallas, OR, next door to Paul and Lori Byerly (we stole 'em from the Dales!).

Former army brat, lived all over the world, in Washington, DC the longest, 'til 3 years ago, when we got kicked out of church, and moved to a small town in Oregon - came into simple church at that time (Mark was formerly seminary-ized and ordained). Gave up living for thriving!

I unschool my kids (Jesus-directed learning), and continue to learn, as a way of life, myself. I'm passionate about finding Truth (not a concept to defend, but a Person to know and love), at all cost. And, it has, so far, been costly...!

I'm also an artist, who's had to put the art (handpainted wacky furniture) on the back burner while remodeling a Victorian. I love to read, write, dance, sing, but not simultaneously (I tried once).

Another consuming passion is for folks to come into healing and wholeness (nothing missing, nothing broken) ... lies replaced with His truth, and liberating folks from the tyranny of the treadmill.

Shalom, Dena
