I didn't even look, because my point, and the whole book of Hebrews point is the supremacy of Jesus Christ. Specifically,, from half-way through chapter 5 until 7:1 is a paranthetical (sp?) break, a time-out for the writer…
The "six foundational truths" of Heb 6:1-3 are basics from which the writer instructs believers to move toward he "meat" of understanding the person of Jesus Christ in greater depth. Doctrine without Jesus is…
Why do we now have three different sites here on simplechurch.com for this area? I just saw that the site other than hrscn.org had a special speaker here 3 weeks ago. It seems that we are not only not working together, we are not communicating. For…
The House of David Ministries is a New Testament Church designed for maximum growth and extention of God's Kingdom. We are just beginning to move into "House Churches" to take all of Tidewater for the Kingdom of God. We are an Apostolic and Prophetic
Note that, the things the writer of "Hebrews" lists are different than the things the Apostle's creed lists. I know where someone in our circles would go with "baptisms", but dare we assume a Messianic Jewish believer of the…
My name is Dana Cashwell and I along with my husband Travis, my three kids, Cameron 6 (she's a girl), Madeline 4 and Thomas 3 we left the church 2 years ago to BE the Church. The problem was we didn't know how to do it. Travis and I grew up in church so when we explained to our family, friends and church what God wanted us to do, the majority of them considered us apostates and heretics. Don't get me wrong, they loved us in their way, they just didn't support us.
A year ago, along with some of the friends we had left, started something called So What! Ministries (shameless plug: www.sowhatministries.com). Which was all about getting people off their butt and serving their community/church/family. Then we read Pagan Christianity. Mainly because George Barna was listed as an author. After reading it, we devoured everything that Frank Viola has written because he put on paper what we were going through and what to do about it. We're in the process now of revamping and updating everything.
I felt like I was wandering in the wilderness for 2 years searching for the promised land; thank God I finally found it!
BTW, I would LOVE your help! Everything I've written so far is posted in my blog here. Opinion, critique, whatever you are willing to help with I'll accept.

I enjoyed a Healing Conference with Randy Clark and Leif Heitland last weekend...It ran for 4 days and nights...there were healings and a wonderful presence of the Lord. I received an impartation and was encouraged to see many healings there, including myself--in the right wrist area where I had an injury! Thank You Lord!
Randy gave some history on the "Word of Faith" movement which was a good presentation of how things can get so out of kilter when we misunderstand what the Lord may be doing in a ministry. A book was recommended by Randy on "Kennyon" to clear up distortions in that regard.
As I read a piece from Mark Virkler this weekend, I was impressed with his encouragement to believers to be careful not to pass judgment or be critical of those who are moving in new revelation, but to look to the scriptures to for support to back up what is in question--rather than to tear it down...! That's a great thought we can all go with...let's not allow the devil to get a foothold through criticism of what we don't know or understand--that's definitely a set-up! Bless you! Comments are welcome! Bonnie
