I think we don't have to forsake stuying doctrine in order to follow the Lord. They-- doctrine and following the Lord -- should be complementary. Just like the style of apostle Paul in writing his epistles: First half of his letters usually deals with doctrine, the second half deals with practical Christianity, eg. Ephesians. "All the counsel of God" (Acts 20:27) would require us to study doctrine. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Rom. 10:17).
So you have visited Las Piñas! You must have seen our bamboo organ. I have not gone out of the Philippines.
