Hi Chris,
I'm Edgar from the Philippines. I'd like to invite you to read my article at www.bibleone.net/TheMillennium.htm. The millennium doctrine is vital for Christians to understand. It has to do with the salvation of the soul, not spirit (1 Pet. 1:9; James 1:21; Heb. 10:39; Matt. 16:24-28). I'd appreciate a comment, but you are not obligated.
Thanks,
Edgar Meneses
Thank you very much, Chris, for replying. From your comment, I gather that you have stopped ("used to", you said) studying doctrine. I think we don't have to forsake stuying doctrine in order to follow the Lord. They-- doctrine and following the Lord -- should be complementary. Just like the style of apostle Paul in writing his epistles: First half of his letters usually deals with doctrine, the second half deals with practical Christianity, eg. Ephesians. "All the counsel of God" (Acts 20:27) would require us to study doctrine. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Rom. 10:17).
So you have visited Las Piñas! You must have seen our bamboo organ. I have not gone out of the Philippines.
Thanks again, Chris. When you have time you might be interested to read my other article at www.rapturealert.com/doesbibleteachpretrib.html. This 2005 article needs revising, though. But no harm reading it.
Dena,
My response to the Book of Enoch "If God had wanted it in the Bible He would have included it! End of discussion." Is just a joke - Black and white people like black and white answers so "give them what they want" I think you can find the Lord in all creation, even with writings, movies or a flower, even in the Bible if you really look hard :-) Those who seek the Lord find Him - end of discussion HAHA! C
I thought you were being sarcastic. But I'm not making any assumptions 'round here any more...!
