Hi Dave,
I'm Edgar from the Philippines. I' like to invite you to read my article at www.bibleone.net/TheMillennium.htm. The millennium doctrine is vital for Christians to understand. It has to do with the salvation of the soul, not spirit (1 Pet. 1:9; James 1:21; Heb. 10:39; Matt. 16:24-28). I'd appreciate a comment, but you are not obligated.
Thanks,
Edgar Meneses

Thank you very much, Dave, for your positive comment (I receive many negative ones). Although I've been reading the Bible for about 4 decades now it was only recently that I began to understand more deeply the message of the Bible. I'd like to offer you a book (I had written my millennium article before I saw this book) which I'm reading for the third time. It would be a "good companion" on your long weekend that you're preparing for. The book discusses in-depth the Word of the Kingdom (Matt. 13, etc.) and the saving of the soul. You know, this message is something the church as a whole has forgotten because the enemy has been very successful in blocking this message from reaching the consciousness of most Christians (Parables of the Sower, Tares, Leaven, and Mustard Seed). If you would give me your email address, I will send it to you. Please don't be afraid of giving me your email address. I will not abuse it. I've sent the book to four SimpleChurch members, and that's it; I don't email them anymore. All I want to tell you concerning the Word are in that book. You know my email address -- displayed on my byline. If you will have the book, I suggest that you read it more than once. It contains meats and strong meats (Heb. 5:14) that will need good chewing and mastication. Again, thanks!
Brother in Christ,
Edgar

I forgot to tell you that I am particularly indebted to the writings of Arlen L. Chitwood whose books you can read at www.bibleone.net. His own website is called The Lamp Broadcast. By the way, I have another article at www.rapturealert.com/doesbibleteachpretrib.html. This 2005 article needs revising. But no harm reading it (there are some things in it that I don't hold to anymore, eg., that only the faithful Christians will be raptured, and that the 24 elders represent the Church). I hope you'll see it when you have the time.

Hi Dave 18years is a long time. i had been involved in several for about hat same time but not in one location. Isee that your location is not far from where i am , about 30mins drive. if i know where and when you meet , i might visit with you sometime. May i ask what is the emphasis of your study and fellowship. Different groups have different emphasis. The one i hope to plant will have the gospel of the kingdom, grace and radical discipleship as emphasis, but will also be missional and reproducing.

Hi Dave, there's another organic gathering that meets in the Linthicum area with a husband/wife coordinating team, James and Cindy Barr.

My husband and I were in both a more organic group and also in an institutional church. The organic group was too diverse to survive, and both my husband and I know with confidence that God intends for us to stay in the institutional church we're already in.

But we both also are feeling a growing pull to "do a new thing," at least new for us.  I don't know when that change will take place, but in the meantime we have longed for more meaningful connection with other believers, and there are a few of our friends who feel the same way.

What has your experience been like in the group you gather together with?  What is your group like?

Hi again Dave. Thanks for your reply with information about your group. I don't mind that you meet in a building rather than in a house. for me a house is more than a property where a individuals live together. My concept includes house, meeting halls and intentional communities. Where people meet together in one mind, to engage in activities that grow Christ in us, so that he in us gives expression of the church. I am in the process of starting full kingdom preaching assemblies[church] alongside intentional christian communities in which there are house meetings. I call it The Intentional organic christian community. the idea is to create a place of corporate and organic platforms of ministry to cater for people to give and recieve ministry in a way that expresses the 5fold ministry and allows the believer to grow at his pace and be able to give ministry that is relevant to their spiritual maturity. I feel that house church is not an end in itself but a means to an end. and the church is not to be a place of body ministry only, but a place that allows for spiritual maturity, therefore the ministry gift are necessary with all the titles. The key is to move towards being , the true expression of the new testament church entering into the promised land.

CONTINUED; Rather than to be the church in the wilderness , which is a state of doing the church as i see is the situation with the present institutional church. like i said somewhere ,house churches have their own set of problems that show that it needs to be seen not as a perfect setting also but one in process. i know alot of house church people who are tired of it also, because it didn't meet all that it seemed to have promised. The place of our rest is more than a church structure, but wether we are growimg into Him who is The Head.

I will keep all your info and keep in touch and share more on my vision if you so wish. i will email you my email and phone number and likely visit soon.
