My wife lost something in the house the other day, and she wanted me to help her find it. The problem being I didn't know what she was looking for, let alone what it looked like!

I wonder if this is our state of mind when we are playing church!? I was just going on like I knew what I was doing, looking for the thing for my wife and yet I was actually useless to her in trying to find it. I was still a good husband and pretending to help her find the darn thing!

What if I just stopped and listened to my friends need and helped him.
What if I gave my neighbor some food to his hungry children.
What if I saw a friend walking late at night with no where to sleep a place to sleep.
What if I someone knocked on my door and asked for my help.
What if I was the one needing help, who would I go to.
What if, the church actually was the church, what would the world look like?

What if.......

It just blows me away that if we are quiet and listening to Him, what he tells us!
Morning devotions using the "That the World may know" with Ray Vander Laan, Fire on the Mountain. He talks about Moses going up to the Mountain hears from God saying "Although the whole earth is mine,you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a Holy Nation".Exodus 19:6 Enough Said!!

Are we missing It! or are just going about it the wrong way? Did the disciple's do a 180 or did they continue to do what they did but with a meaning of christ in their lives? Did they change what they did in their daily lives, no more meeting with the boys, or no more fishing trips to the lake, or meeting to talk about the lastest tax hike? I don't think I am the only one out there that feels the Spirit moving! He is so quietly and tenderly and with precise movement moving people and the church. I hear it in the words that people are saying, I see it in the people that are searching for Him. I believe that the Spirit is moving in a way that is unnoticed by the world but will be seen by the christian walking the narrow path.
