What if all the institutional church's were not open this sunday?

The doors were locked, the lights were off, no cars in the parking lot, no one greeting us or no signs of life in the building? What would the reaction be to most people coming up to look in the window's? What would the discussion be like as more and more people congragated at the entrance to church?Would they just go back home, would they discuss the possibilities of something just out of the ordinary has happened, would they sit outside and just wait for the pastor to explain the locked doors?…See More

In the knowledge of good and evil

Do we really understand of what and why we are the way we act?In the beginning, God's intention was for mankind to be indwelt with Him, and Us into Him. It was to be the ultimate fellowship of the World!! But Adam and Eve chose the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.Do we really understand the premise of this concept? Do we understand that we were not designed to stay in it. Do we understand that God wants to save us from this premise of knowledge!!There is this feeling of we have to just…See More

Our desire to be of Christ has got to start with our spirit indwelling in Christ, and His Spirit in Us.

Home Church

Coming from a Pastor's son perspective, I have not ever questioned the history or traditional church beginnings before reading the book "Reimaging Church" by Frank Viola. This is what started to read more in Acts about the beginning of the church of the new testament. I have since read more in the bible and other books.
I have started this with an open mind and a patience for the Holy Spirit to direct me in his will. Please pray for me and my family.

Our logic of math has been wrong all this time!!

Why do we insist that if we clone ourselves that it would be considered life? When, in fact it is just the opposite.

John 12:24 says "I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies,it remains only a single seed. But if it dies,it produces many seeds. 25. "The man who loves his life will lose it,while the man who hates his life in this world will  keep it for eternal…

Perspective?

Do you sometimes wonder what in the world your spouse is talking about, like she is speaking another language, or she is from another planet.(maybe even mars?)

I think this is sometimes the scenario that God was in when He was talking to His people and even to His appointed leaders. A case in point, is King Saul and his kingdom. You see he actually thought it was his own kingdom, when we really look deeper into the story, it was not anything to do with Saul or a physical kingdom…

Doug, i think Doris is coming home tomorrow (Wednesday), if the weather holds. She is in Gordon Nebraska, northeast by Chadron; and they are to get 2-4" of snow tonight then another 2-4" tomrrow, so she may have to wait until Thursday. If she is not home, i may drop by, otherwise i will need to push it out to the next meeting, since she has been away for 2 1/2 weeks.

The funeral was very nice, a very evangelistic message by the pastor.
