Michael, I will answer your post, but then delete your comments from my wall. I have no interest in discussing this continued religiousity with you.

Sean began that thread with a threat of throwing out universalists from simple church fellowships. Interestingly, universalists existed in good standing as Bishops and theological instructors for the first 500 years of the church - and you can check out the "liberal historian" Philip Schaff on that one. It wasn't until a Church Council of the Roman Church that universalism was considered officially "heretical."

Here at simple church, my understanding was that fellow believers would get together, seek and worship the Lord together. As I stated very clearly (I did not stutter), the Papists who don't want to obtain their MDiv, and then become a dictator of dogma in institutional churches simply comes to simple church and begins to exercise authority over others, dictating what they can or cannot believe concerning the scriptures and the god of those scriptures.

That's Papal, and it has no business in the Simple Church. If someone wants to be a "heresy hunter" perhaps they should just find other dogmatists with which to fellowship and leave those of us who desire to "know Christ and Him crucified" to worship in spirit and truth. And regarding your pomposity concerning my reaction to you and your ilk - the only people Jesus rebuked were those who in their religious bigotry excluded the prostitute and others from grace. He called them "a brood of vipers," and "children of...the devil," and "children of the evil one." Thus it is that they still exist today.

So, in regards to your "Pope Ed" comment, that is truly laughable as it is not me excluding others from grace, it is you and your ilk. If I am a Pope, perhaps it is a Pope of Grace, rather than a Pope of Religion.

Pontificate? Show me one doctrine that I required of anyone. Can you answer these questions about me:

1. what is my view on the Trinity?
2. What is my view on baptism?
3. What is my view on the Lord's Supper?
4. What is my view on elder leadership in churches?

Nope, you can't because I haven't stated it. I haven't demanded that anyone agree with me on these issues. My only complaint has been that simple church shouldn't be about self-imposed leaders excommunicating others over doctinal differences.

Oh btw, I've known Dena for quite some time, and I know for a fact that she believes not only that Jesus came in the flesh, but also rose in a physical body. So, as usual, your false accusations give you away.

Don't bother answering this post, I'll only leave it up for a few hours, and then delete it and yours. Your condemnation of others is evident, and that I will denounce.

And in regards to where you will spend eternity - in my theology you spend it with God. Funny how I could be accused of those things that you've accused me of, but alas, that's what Papists do.
