I was sending message to Tony Dale and saw your comment about moving to Austin, TX and asking for a referral to an RV park. My wife and I travel in the summer in our little RV and this past summer stayed at La Hacienda. It was fantastic! We've stayed all over the U.S. and usually put in about 10,000 miles each summer. La Hacienda was very relaxing, clean, nice people staying there, etc. etc. Here is a link to their website:

Also, I saw you guys guys are in Coeur d'Alene, ID. How funny is that? We used to live there and moved away in 2008. It was there that we started our first house church with a great group of folks. They are all still there and we stay in touch with them. I also have a brother who lives there with his wife and kids. We always stop in for a few weeks during the summer to visit his family and our friends.
We attended most of the churches in that area at some point in time before God called us out to start a home church.
Where are you guys staying there? My wife had a good friend who was a full time RV'r at the nicer RV park there in Post Falls (close to the WalMart).
We love Austin and might even move there one of these days. I've come close many times in the past. Right now we are living on Maui (not a bad place either) as I am here helping with a family business.
I read your note a few days ago. My wife and I are on the "threshold" of leaving what we have come to call, "Church Inc." We have been active Christians for many years, love God and want to serve Him. Over a period of about a year and a half our outlook has changed dramatically. We asked to have our membership removed from the church we had been attending and we have not become "members" of another although we still attend several other churches. We have had a cell group in our home twice monthly for about 7 years but most of those who attend remain in the church we left and don't share out sentiments. For the past few months this group has started to disburse because of scheduling conflicts with their home church and perhaps (?) because they finally realize that we have left for good and don't plan to return. So, we wonder if it will continue. We now give $ to national missionaries in India and support other projects through Gospel for Asia www.gfa.org , and find this much more fullfilling than paying off the debt of a large building and providing a church staff with coffee and donuts. We have come to see "Church Inc" as "big building, big budgets & big shots" (Frank Viola), shallow committments to each other (the body of Christ) and more the cross of a country club and a rock concert than a New Testament church. We recognize the need for "community" or real church but sincerely doubt that we will find it in "Church Inc". Send me an e-mall sometime if think you guys might be on the same page. My name is Joe Massey and my e-mail is jomas513@msn.com.

Marshall Diakon said… Ellen, there is a gathering at the Hooks house in Vegas. Will you be in Houston soon, or possibly another location? If some contact information for the Las Vegas area would be helpful to you & yours, please write me to ask... diakon2@gmail.com
