Starfish Manifesto

Only through the viral process of multiplying multiplication . . .

will we ever see the humanly impossible task accomplished, that Jesus Christ gave all of us, given the complexity of the world we live in today. Daniel forsaw this in a prophetic vision and said: “The rock that struck the statue became a huge mountain and filled the whole earth” (Dan 2:35). Starfish…

My name is Dana Cashwell and I along with my husband Travis, my three kids, Cameron 6 (she's a girl), Madeline 4 and Thomas 3 we left the church 2 years ago to BE the Church. The problem was we didn't know how to do it. Travis and I grew up in church so when we explained to our family, friends and church what God wanted us to do, the majority of them considered us apostates and heretics. Don't get me wrong, they loved us in their way, they just didn't support us.

A year ago, along with some of the friends we had left, started something called So What! Ministries (shameless plug: www.sowhatministries.com). Which was all about getting people off their butt and serving their community/church/family. Then we read Pagan Christianity. Mainly because George Barna was listed as an author. After reading it, we devoured everything that Frank Viola has written because he put on paper what we were going through and what to do about it. We're in the process now of revamping and updating everything.

I felt like I was wandering in the wilderness for 2 years searching for the promised land; thank God I finally found it!

hello eric!
gary goodell, one of the author s of the book Permission Granted was here the other day.last summer Mr.quick from New zealand was here sharing what really a Church is.
I've learned that christianity is a lifestyle.the Bible is my source of life.my body is God's temple.no longer the church building.following Jesus is no longer a performance basis..but being THE UNIQUE YOU whom He loves.
God bless,

Hi Eric!
Thank you very much for writing. Ruben Samson invited me to this site maybe about the same time that you joined. I'm here in Las Piñas City but I "go home" to Baliuag, Bulacan every weekend. You may have noticed that I am inviting SimpleChurch members to read my millennium article (I presume you have seen it; if not url is www.bibleone.net/TheMillennium.htm). Hindi ako makarami. Dial-up connection lang ang gamit ko, mabagal. Natutuwa nga ako at nalaman ko ito mula kay Ruben.

Matagaltagal nang hindi ako napapasyal sa Baguio. Are you native there? Tungkol sa church attendance, Last May I quit the church I was attending in Makati. 5 months lang ako doon. I feel I could not be edified there because the group -- former SDA's-- was so prejudiced against the Word of the Kingdom; the members' couldn't accept new teachings (new to their ears) and I may have been thought of as pushing to them some wrong doctrines. I was asked to speak. I wrote down my message; the article was the result. But it was as though I spoke to the wind --they didn't get it. Alam mo, this subject -- the Word of the Kingdom (Matt. 13, etc., etc.) is something the Church as a whole has forgotten because the enemy has been very successful in blocking this particular message from being understood by the Christians (Parables of the sower, tares, leaven, and mustard seed). Just as Satan used the religious leaders in Israel the scribes and Pharisees in rejecting the message and the Messenger, so he is using religious leaders to reject the same message.

Kung makakadaan ka sa Bulacan on your way to Manila, just tell me kung sasaglit ka sa amin. I have another article at www.rapturealert.com/doesbibleteachpretrib.html. This 2005 article needs revising. But no harm reading it. I hope you'll see it when you have the time. Again, thanks!
Brother in in Christ,
Edgar
