About Frank Viola

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Thousands of people have read "Pagan Christianity." But this book was never meant to be a stand-alone work. It's only the first part of the conversation.

The second, most important part is available. It's called "Reimagining Church." Both books go together. "Pagan Christianity" is the deconstructive side of the argument. "Reimagining Church" is the constructive side. Go to www.ReimaginingChurch.org

New Book & Video – The Missing Ingredient

Just a note that my new book, EPIC JESUS has released.

Some have said this book represents the missing ingredient of the Christian faith today. The book is only $3.99 USD. There's also a free video trailer for it as well.

Check it out here: http://www.ptmin.org/epicjesus

A Vanishing God

Jesus often comes to us in unexpected ways and unexpected means.

Think about how He came to Earth. For centuries, Israel had waited for a political Messiah. They expected Him to lead a rebellion and free Israel from Roman oppression. But how did the Messiah make His entrance? He came in a way that made it easy for His own people to reject Him. He came as a frail baby, born in a feeding room for animals. There He was. The promised Messiah who was expected to overthrow the…

New Book Release: REVISE US AGAIN

I’m happy to announce that my new book REVISE US AGAIN: Living from a Renewed Christian Script is now available.

This book was born on the anvil of three decades of spiritual experiences, struggles, observations, suffering, failures, questions, reflections, and the insights that are born from each. As such, it contains both light and shade.

The book is unlike anything else I’ve written to date. And it’s the shortest as well (only 176 pages). It is written for…

Pagan Christianity shook our world and changed how we do life. Thank you. Reimagining Church is awesome, too. But PC ruffled many religious feathers I didn't realize I still had. It was both frightening and exciting to pluck them out! Life is looking very different for us now, and many doors have opened since beginning this journey.
Blessings!

Frank,

Thanks so much for publishing your thoughts. I was wondering if there was anyone else on the planet that thought that way I did. Now I know there is at least two.

Your Faithful Brother in Christ,

Brian

Hey Frank, thanks for the invite! I am really enjoying this site... I see you have invited my friend Joe from Ohio... He and his wife, Katie are wonderful! They were part of our group here in Mi before the Lord sent them on. For the 1st 2 yrs of our home meetings here we always emphasized learning to hear the Shepherd's voice (and still do). As we learn to do that, in time, He sends us out...It's Great! I am sure you will enjoy Joe a lot...

Again, thank you for being part of a great conference. Through it God is bringing about a complete paradigm shift in my life (and Lois', too. I'm sure you remember her from the conf. She is the one you absolved from doing any more assignments!). I have been to many conferences, read many books over the years as a believer, but nothing like this. Everything looks different now. How did you say it? "Everything is different after the resurrection." The Lord is "re-telling" His story to me, the Scriptures are coming alive and yielding up new treasures; things that never seemed to fit or make sense are making perfect sense. I think in a large part that is because I never really understood His eternal purpose (I may have thought I did, but I didn't): to produce a community on the earth that reflects the community found within the Trinity (Godhead).

I'm in the middle of the Ephesian Chronicle right now...excellent! The Lord has spoken to me several times so far while reading this book...

Looking forward to hearing from you,

In Christ, Mark

Greetings, Frank. This type of site is totally new to me, along with most of what I am reading in the Forums and Blogs. If you have some time to read the Discussion on the Subtle Dangers of Divisions, I would be curious as to where the idea that a lot of the verses quoted and interpretations are out of context...That they only applied to the Jews in the 1st cent who rejected the N Covenant: and for example, Matt 25 being fulfilled with the destruction of Jerusalem... New thots for me... I'd be interested in your thoughts or any recommended articles or books... thanks

Thanks for accepting my invite, I really appreciate it!

My name is Dana Cashwell and I along with my husband Travis, my three kids, Cameron 6 (she's a girl), Madeline 4 and Thomas 3 we left the church 2 years ago to BE the Church. The problem was we didn't know how to do it. Travis and I grew up in church so when we explained to our family, friends and church what God wanted us to do, the majority of them considered us apostates and heretics. Don't get me wrong, they loved us in their way, they just didn't support us.

A year ago, along with some of the friends we had left, started something called So What! Ministries (shameless plug: www.sowhatministries.com). Which was all about getting people off their butt and serving their community/church/family. Then we read Pagan Christianity. Mainly because George Barna was listed as an author. After reading it, we devoured everything that you have written because you put on paper what we were going through and what to do about it. We're in the process now of revamping and updating everything.

I felt like I was wandering in the wilderness for 2 years searching for the promised land; thank God I finally found it!
