Hi Kevan,

My wife and I and our six kids live on a farm with an older Christian couple. They have hosted a homechurch here on the farm for the past four years or so but in many ways it has crashed and burned. We still meet together on Sundays (some of us) but there is very minimal leadership and no real vision for our gathering as a coherent group. We are praying about what to do as we feel we have wasted the past four years but don't want to just fall back into a complacent and consumeristic attending of church services every week. My wife and I sense the LORD calling us to help establish an intentional Christian community but right now we need to just find fellowship with other Christians beyond our homechurch. We still want to be a part of a homechurch/simple church fellowship but I am struggling with the idea prevalent in our homechurch that church leadership is oppressive and bad and that any structure or intention is religious. We have been reactionaries and I'm ready to move beyond the "I hate Institutional Church" sentiment.

I appreciate your prayers.

-shalom!
