Introduction

Hi All,
Just a short introduction. People ask me how long I have been doing house church. I have been a Christian 30 years and I have always been in churches that had small groups. In 1999 after being in Argentina with Ed Silvoso's "lighthouse" training a good friend gave me Wolf Simpson's book "Houses That Change The World". Like many people, I have never read the entire thing, but what I did read changed my thinking about "church". I started searching for others who were meeting in more non-traditional expressions of fellowship and found quite a few.

Since then I have been involved in all sorts of different expressions of community. In 2006 I married Keith. Later that year we were ask by some friends of his in Germany to consider living in Germany and here we are.
(it was not really that easy but the stories to long to tell)
It has been a great journey. It is our desire to encourage anyone who is seeking a more relational way of community.

Healing Communities also has a network you can find

What Church should really be like?

This is in 2 parts but not very long. This is a Christian comedian Chondra Pierce talking about her struggle with depression but listen as she describes "group" and talks about what church should be like. Its really good.

A short update

Hi All,

I am struggling to learn a little bit of HTML code and something about social networking sites. I have finally figured out how to do podcasting so now we have 2 podcasts on our site and I will have more soon.

Feel free to check them out Here

One is of Keith teaching at a local house church gathering and the other is a gathering we did for worship. Both are really good. There are others… Continue

New Articles

Hi All,

I found this while looking for something else. I thought it might be a good discussion starter. One is an article Keith wrote for the 2007 seminar at Fulda called New Testament Networking(Neue Testamentvernetzung)

The other is the answer to questions about leadership that is the discussion forum called What… Continue

Hi Jeanne,
I'm Edgar from the Philippines. I'd like to invite you to read my article at www.bibleone.net/TheMillennium.htm. The millennium doctrine is vital for Christians to understand. It has to do with the word of the kingdom and the salvation of the soul, not spirit (Matt. 13:19; 1 Pet. 1:9; James 1:21; Heb. 10:39; Matt. 16:24-28). I'd appreciate a comment, but you are not obligated.
Thanks,
Edgar Meneses

My name is Dana Cashwell and I along with my husband Travis, my three kids, Cameron 6 (she's a girl), Madeline 4 and Thomas 3 we left the church 2 years ago to BE the Church. The problem was we didn't know how to do it. Travis and I grew up in church so when we explained to our family, friends and church what God wanted us to do, the majority of them considered us apostates and heretics. Don't get me wrong, they loved us in their way, they just didn't support us.

A year ago, along with some of the friends we had left, started something called So What! Ministries (shameless plug: www.sowhatministries.com). Which was all about getting people off their butt and serving their community/church/family. Then we read Pagan Christianity. Mainly because George Barna was listed as an author. After reading it, we devoured everything that Frank Viola has written because he put on paper what we were going through and what to do about it. We're in the process now of revamping and updating everything.

I felt like I was wandering in the wilderness for 2 years searching for the promised land; thank God I finally found it!

BTW, I had one pic up a little while ago of a clay-mation Jesus winking and saying "Amen to that!" My husband thought I'd get kicked off the site for it but I think everybody got it. ;op

Shalom Jeanne, I saw that you celebrate the Feasts of Israel if I read right on one of your postings. I am just starting a Messianic Believers United Group and thought that you might be interested in it as well. By the way, my brother and his wife and 6 month old daughter live in Germany.

Shalom In Him,
Joseph

Hi Jeanne,
Several weeks ago I had read your posting about Sid Roth's show with McTernan and didn't comment, though it stirred me...there are SO MANY who do not know the truth of what is explained there. If only this country, if only the church really understood what our position should be in partnership with Israel, we would know real blessings! THANK YOU for putting it out there for more to learn.
I have actually been in fellowships where replacement theology was taught even though the pastors knew the truth of God was different -- their theory was that the congregation was not versed enough in scripture to understand God's destiny for Israel! Anti-Semitism takes many forms!

God bless you on your journey and in your hunger for the truth of God!

Hi Jeanne,
Yes, I am in a house church at my house with 4-5 other families. We are new to this (less than 2 mos.) and are seeking our way. Are your friends in Harrisburg in a home church?
