My name is Sandor Szabo and I live in the Chicagoland area in the US and my fiance and soon to be wife, Rosalinda Reyes Soco, currently lives in Cebu City, Philippines. I was there last year, and wow I had a very difficult time leaving! What a wonderful place, and the people there are so genuine and very happy, too! The pix on this site are taken there.
Rosalinda is preparing for her interview and exam in Manila soon, hopefully next month, and I am expecting her here soon, that is in the Lord's timing ofcourse.
Do you live also in Cebu? I would love to hear more about what the Lord is doing in your life and what He is doing there in planting and building His simple church that is rooted and built up in Him and Him alone!
The Lord has put His compassion and burden for the filipino people in my heart many years ago, back in 1992, when I visited a village there in Luzon while working as a photojournalist for the U.S. Army. I heard the call of the Lord that day and have followed Him and served Him with all my heart since that day. I did not hear the Lord calling me from a sermon in any church, because I never attended one, I head Him in your country and know that His heart is deep in His love and His Grace for you and your family and His family He is building among you as His Glorious Church, a wonderful building made up of living stones!
Take good care my dear brother! I will be praying for you and God's Eternal Purpose (Eph. 3:10-11) there. Do not be discouraged brother (Ezra 4) God is raising up broken and faithful men like yourself to rebuild His Glorious house at this hour of living stones, and to build up the brethren! Don't be discouraged like the children of Israel in Ezra 4, and listen to the people of the land who will tell you to stop! Keep buidling brother knowing the Lord is the builder (Psa. 127) and you are not laboriing in vain!
I am sure you already know these scriptures, but let it be encouragement to you that a man who lives more than 10,000 miles away is of the same heart as you and will be praying for you as well!

Yes it is so very good to hear from you again!
I am glad my letter was encouraging to you! I felt impressed in my heart that you were dealing with much discouragement there. I will now pray for your health as well.
I have been really meditating on this text in Ezra 4 about God's people who are called to build and also the plot against them in the land they are building to hire counselors who give advice that they need to stop. I believe as they built, these faithful people of God, they used one hand to build the wall and the other to fight and carry the sword. I am praying that God will strengthen your hands brother and will have new strength and vitality in the work you have been called to and that is to build up the brethren around you.
It was said that they were frustrated from their purpose, and that has hit home to me personally, and I understand very well this story, and have lived it for the past 15 years in serving the Lord.
I thank you so much for praying for my beautiful bride and her safe and timely release to come join me here.
Brother please read Ezra 4 when you get a chance. I believe the Lord will renew your sense of purpose as He overwhelms you with a new freshness of His Eternal Purpose (Eph 3:10-11).
