From a spiritual point of view, Berlin is comparable to an underdeveloped country or a desert with only few oases. There are less than one percent born again Christians in Berlin. In Germany, there is less civic commitment and sense of social responsibility on a private level than e.g. in the USA.
>> How to change this situation?
We believe that a variety of methods in the right combination and integrated with accompanying prayer are necessary in order to reach people effectively.
* We will begin by praying for 12 streets and by starting cell groups with 10 members each in these streets
Our ultimate goal - getting the desert to flourish!
Berlin is a spiritual desert with great needs and few oases of Living Water. This is why we want to establish a cell group in every street in Berlin with people who take responsibility for their own street as a consequence of their living relationship to Jesus and who also experience inner healing themselves!
Joseph is initiator of In-Meiner-Strasse e.V. (In My Street) . The aim of this initiative is to bring positive change to the streets and living quarters of Berlin by people bringing together and committing themselves to take action, and ultimately to bring people into contact with the life-changing power of God.
House meetings in Berlin: House meetings offer the opportunity for people to meet God in a personal way through faith-filled praise and worship and through His Word. The aim is to establish such house meetings in more and more streets of Berlin. Günther Hess has completed three years of bible school training.

Welcome! I look forward to dialogue as we make this journey of being and making disciples. I would recommend www.livewickmedia.com as a good resource. A 3 minute audio introduction will play automatically when you get there.
