"it is not our life that needs to change but it is His life that needs to be lived." Well said Terry! One of my most ardent prayers is that from John the Baptists' lips "I must decrease, so He may increase!", which I put…

Thanks for the challenge. Habits are hard to break, comfort zones are like supercharged magnets, and reality is often masked by self-deception. We often use our excuses for reasons but excuses are mostly (possibly always) tied to the flesh. Our…

Stephen - thanks for sharing your own example. I wonder if you'd put it up as a comment on the blog post itself because it is such a good every day life illustration. I think it would be a great thought provoker for folks.

Longcuts

I like shortcuts.

These days I spend a lot of time walking through the University of Minnesota looking for short cuts to buildings in order to lessen the time and effort I need to spend in getting from one class to another. Since efficiency is high on my value list, I'm always looking for ways to streamline my day and my walking routes to spend less time in transit. I have found some routes that may save me a couple of minutes, or shave… Continue

Nameless and Faceless Servants

http://thoughtsfromabackseatdriver.blogspot.com/

Years ago a man prophesied that the Lord would raise up a new breed of people. A nameless and faceless Kingdom people. Men and women of impact that would accomplish through the Spirit of God, incredible Kingdom advances. A people who would not build ministries and reputations, but be wholly committed to humility. A breed of people where the only reputation known, was the reputation of Christ.

Years ago I studied… Continue

Bound Fast
I've been writing about Kingdom relationships these last few posts because I am passionate about the Body of Christ getting "rightly related", as the Scriptures say, to one another. I'm back to using the movie Lord Of The Rings as an illustration in today's blog post. For visual learners like myself, it is a great movie to use to give us a visual picture to work from.

From start to finish, battle scenes make up a large portion of the

Katie I was surprised we had not clicked yet on this sight, so I sent forth the message. You look good, it's great to see your face.
This page type was my first choice, however I am having fun trying them all out. This one is really cool.
Blessings and love,

Katie,
I love your ideas, thanks so much for sharing with me.. it is cool to know there are other moms with the same crazy desire to be on mission like you have been with your kids. What great memories you have made with them... What refugees have you worked with? We visited MN to minister to a Somali woman.
My husband's from Sioux Falls....

Thank you for praying! I'm really looking forward to it. Sent off the final edited version of the book last night (Yea) Now I can relax! Have been having a great time with Linda. It's amazing what is going on here in SF. God is on the move in incredible ways.

Wow, that is really cool the diversity in MN. It wasn't anything I tried to do.. my brother converted to Islam, and married a Somali from Eden Prairie. After 6 months he had an experience and turned his life back to Christ.. it wasn't all he thought it would be... the holy spirit drew him, then she had an experience with God.. and called wanting to know how to give her life to Jesus... we walked with her over the phone for 2 years... craziness... she had dreams of jesus etc..she read the bible like crazy and had so many questions... long story and much more... she has not been discipled and I'm not sure if the seed is going to bear fruit, but we did see life change during a season... but she really needed discipling... We have lost touch since they got divorced...

Hi Katie! I would love to talk some time. I'm usually available on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, because all my kids are in school those days. Or I'm available Monday and Friday nights usually. Our lives are pretty flexible, so you can name a time, and I can probably make it work. Looking forward to chatting with you soon!

Sure. It's a long story but briefly I am involved with a church plant that is at about 20 people now and trying to discern what church model to follow from here. We have a leadership meeting tonight.
