good message., the Holy Spirit is continuelly calling, singing to us and we tend to get so wrapped up in our self that we miss the call.

Tribute to my Mom

I would just like to say thanks to my Mom for her faithfulness and patience. Mama had us three boys to raise and she worked and sacrificed for many years so we could have many of the things that she could not have as a child.Mom has a good sense of humor and we always enjoy our time together. My Mom lives alone now as my dad passed away in 2008. She misses her husband but she is not sitting around in grief. She is active in her church and does what she can to help others come to know and love…See More

Did Moishe Rosen teach the seminar at your church? I loved Moishe. His humor reminds me that Billy Crystal came to Ga. as a teenager and worked on the chicken farm in Rex, Ga. I can imagine Billy learned a lot working on that chicken farm about…

I went to a J for J meeting years ago. That was the first time I heard about a bagel. Bagel? I thought that was a hunting dog. Then they served us bagels with cream cheese. Like you I was impressed by the whole group as they encouraged us…

One thing that I believe this younger generation is experiencing is loneliness and because of the huge divorce rate many feel fatherless. It's ironic in this age of communicaiton that so many feel alone. I'm praying that this loneliness…

Let's be friends

Monday morning and my wife and I are getting ready to fly to the Panama canal for a little r&r. Yesterday we had our usual meeting at the local jail. We meet there twice a month. Something we have been doing for over ten years now. In fact I consider that to be my church. We have a big turnover in our meetings but that ok. I'm always telling the ladies at F,G and H pods that I hope I never see them again in here.

We begin our meetings with a little music and I invite them to share a… Continue

Hi Ken,
I'm Edgar from the Philippines. I'd like to invite you to read my article at www.bibleone.net/TheMillennium.htm. The millennium doctrine is vital for Christians to understand. It has to do with the salvation of the soul, not spirit (1 Pet. 1:9; James 1:21; Heb. 10:39; Matt. 16:24-28). I'd appreciate a comment, but you are not obligated.
Thanks,
Edgar Meneses

Thanks for your comment, Ken. I've been invited to head up a small group campaign in our Methodist church. I trust the pastor as a person who genuinely wants to reverse the "spectator mentality" of the institutional church which you observe. My questions: Can new wine skins be created to contain the Spirit's new wine. Can these stones live? Frank says no. I'm not so sure we should give up on the body of Christ existing in the institution so quickly Wade

Brother Ken-
Like what I'm seeing here. Not bad for a Georgia boy in the midst of the Bible belt. I'm still hangin out with the SBC while at the same time involved in a new church plant-not SBC related. Now that I know where you live, I'll be back. Come by for a visit in UK country.
