Kyle, good to hear from you - would love to meet. fishrecycler@recycledfish.org or 712.256.4907 if it's easier.

Pilgrimage to Portal is an annual fall trip during the Festival of Tabernacles, this is our first time going but we have lots of friends down there. It's in Portal, GA which is kind of the epicenter for "Open Church," as far as I know. Check out this link if you like: http://www.bearcreekportal.com/pilgrimagefall.html

Looks like we could have some more cool stuff coming together here in our neck of the woods!

Hey, Kyle.

I really know little about the OT feasts, really have no particular allegiance to or experience in observing them or to the messianic movement. I know some great people who are in to all that, it's just not anything that I've ever felt captivated with or led to dig into.

But as I understand it this deal in Portal is really about getting together for open church, worship, celebration, loving God and one another in a Spirit-led setting with a bunch of other people who are also so inclined. As I understand it, it times out good with the Feast of Tabernacles, I think. A lot of people I love will be there, and we'll worship together in an open setting. That's good enough for me.

Open Church - yes, the James Rutz / Open Church / Mega Shift deal. In terms of simple church, that's the vein in which we find the greatest merit, as opposed to the more structured "big box in the small box" models, or the "following a national curriculum" models.

...and yep! That's a cartoon "me." ;)

Blessings, Kyle. Maybe face-to-face sometime soon? Do you have meetings in your house?

Kyle, I think we're pretty much on the same page, man.
