I'm an ambitious church planter. My wife and I are seeking to start a drop in centre cafe with free coffee in an area with high crime, high unemployment and all the other stuff that comes with a low socio economic region.

Our desire to reach the marginalised unchuirched is such that we have bought a home in this area and are raising our family here.

I'm interested to hear about experiences with low-socio economic or marginalised suburban people and what did/didn't work in introducing them to God. Our thought is: "community to God to disciple" being that the community coming together is pre evangelistic. Through sharing in the work of showing God's love to others, people may come to see the true christianity and get beyond "the church" and all it's baggage and stigma.
