Hello Everyone;
[Matthew 14: 25]
And in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. 26 But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, saying, "It is a ghost!" And they cried out for fear. 27 But immediately he spoke to them, saying, "Take heart, it is I; have no fear." 28 And Peter answered him, "Lord, if it is you, bid me come to you on the water." 29 He said, "Come." So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to…

I was reading your comment on "Thinking an praying about starting a home church. HELP!" about your involvement in 4 major denominations. On your page here you have listed Ellenburg Center, NY but for your location you have Tampa, FL.
Tim and I pastored in upstate NY. In the CMA in Springville and in the AOG in Elmira. I am not sure where Ellenburg Center is. I was curious about your story. From what you have written, you must have quite a story.
I don't miss those church politics, powerplays and posturing at all. Oh, sorry about the 3 p's. I will forgo the poem.
Tim finally wrote a book on the process of leaving and life outside the institution. Escaping Church: A Guide for Life Outside the Institution is available at our website, www.timmather.com as an e-book.
People who have read his other books commented that Escaping Church does not have the funny stories that are so much like Tim's writing. There wasn't much funny about the process. Much of it was so painful because of the war we had with his Dad who is a career pastor. And we could not include those stories because his Dad is still alive and still pastoring.
I know that sometimes we can't really tell our stories because it feels like rehashing the same old stuff. But I was just wondering if we knew some of the same places. There are not many on this site registered from NYS. When we lived there, although we had a network of about 10 or so house churches in central NY, it was very difficult to find other SCer's in the state.
Now we are in GA and do retreat ministry. You can learn more about us at www.bearcreekportal.com.
Blessings to you!
