I was thinking more on the order of Esther being a prominent person (Queen or star) in the realm, who rescued (delivered) her people who were in danger. And the word "Esther" is derived from the Persian word meaning - and you guessed it - STAR!!!!!!! Okay, I have Holy Spirit goose bumps! Merika - Father HAS put you in this position for "such a time as this"!
Hey Merika, thanks for your comment on my blogs. I enjoy writing them, and I love hearing others thoughts on the same subjects too.
I love what you say about Beauty above. People really are amazingly beautiful when we let ourselves see it. I've had those same kinds of moments that you describe.
Merika,
We have been meeting in our home with a couple other families for over four years. Most of the time has seemed to be a stripping down and detox time for our group. We kind of felt like we were in the wilderness and not sure that the path we had chosen was really leading us anywhere, but recently God has started to bring in new opportunities and relationships and can see his hand crafting his body and it is very exciting. Thanks for the note. God Bless!
Hi Merika,
We are now back in West Columbia, SC permanently (after ten years in rural Maine, and I have felt the leading of the Lord to do a good bit of email posting, centering on the closing words of Rev. 2 and 3, repeated seven times, "He who has an ear let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches. Actually, I prefer direct email communicating rather than via this site, but I don't know how the rules affect that. My email is [email protected] Write me back.
Sincerely,
David

Dena,I had heard the same thing, and I wondered afterwards if part of my enjoyment was based on it exceeding my (low) expectations.…
Y'know, I'm thinking about that "if you love me you will obey me" (John 14:15) ... and I'm not so sure that it's a command.
It's lacking the imperitive "shall" (not in the literal translations either)…
