Mitzi, thanks for the very nice comment on the Man and the Star Fields. I see that you know exactly what I was saying. God has put his spirit behind his words, so that they say plenty in few words! The only creatures in the universe who are verbose…

His House composed of Living Stones

1Pe 2:5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Hbr 3:6 But Christ is faithful as a son over God's house. And we are his house, if we hold on to our courage and the hope of which we boast

Hbr 10:21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, From these scriptures we can say, " The Church is the House of God." And we… Continue

Sonship in Christ

Gal 4:4-5 But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, in order that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

Gal 4:6-7 And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, "Abba! Father!"

Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.

Paul is writing to all of the churches in… Continue

LikeMindedNess

Sometimes I think we confuse being likeminded with being One in Christ. Believing and thinking the same has to do with being likeminded. It is something to do with our minds. Whereas being One in Him has to do with being born in the spirit realm into His family. We are one together in Him because of our new birth not because we agree about doctrines are anything else.

However, Paul exhorted the Body of Christ throughout the NT to be likeminded, to be of one mind, to stand fast with… Continue

"Behold the Lamb"

John 1:36

And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, "Behold the Lamb of God."

As we walk in this earth, we must continually look upon Jesus....the Lamb of God.

The Lamb of God speaks of His Blood and His Body laid down at the Cross. Behold the Lamb, Behold the Cross.

Behold His Blood and His Body that was poured out.

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, [even]… Continue

The "Finisher"

He was the originator...the author...the beginner of our faith.

Looking unto Jesus...the author of our faith

Hbr 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and the finisher of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

And He is also the performer of our faith.

Phil 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform [it]… Continue

Praise the Lord Mitzi. I'm glad you are enjoying "The Sanctify of the Present Moment." And Andrew Murray is one of my favorite authors regarding the devotional life. I've read so much of what he has written and then I stumbled on "The Kingdom of God" or "Within." I was flabbergasted by his message at the Mowbray Convention in 1897. I really feel this is among the finest thing that came out of Murray's relationship in Christ. Check it out: http://www.theoldtimegospel.org/message/murray_within.html

I went through a deep period of brokenness a few weeks ago that is hard to explain. I'm still recovering. As I have drawn closer to Christ, I have seen that which is in me that is of the flesh. Even my best intentions, if out of the old man is of no account. Jesus said if your eye be single, your whole body shall be full of light. Oh to know of this single vision, of this single heartedness of Christ. To walk in the Spirit. To know His voice and follow Him. To say with Paul, "I no longer live. It is Christ who lives in me." Oh the profundities of this Christian life and the life that we are invited to live in Him.
I think of the change that took place in the woman who touched the hem of His garment. Oh what a touch! And yet we are invited to live in Him. That is our calling and our destiny.

I think how dark this world is getting. And how dark our own souls are at times. But we have the prophetic word made firmer still. You will do well to pay close attneton to it as to a lamp shining in a dismal, squalid and dark place, until the day breaks through the gloom and the Morning Star arises and comes into full being in your hearts. 2 Peter 1:19.

Thank you for waiting for me on John 17. I feel we truly are on hallowed ground here. I talked about this chapter in our fellowship last Sunday without going into any detail regarding the verses themselves. All I have been able to say is that about everything it contains is not of this world. Nor is it meant for anyone "of this world." Words of spirit and of life that the carnal man cannot begin to understand or comprehend. We are so dependent on the Spirit to vivify His exceeding great and precious promises, and I think that is a reason we need to approach them with such awe and reverence. The breathe of God is still in them, as fresh and as warm as the moment they were first inspired, "God-breathed" by Him. Ancient words, to be sure, but forever young and vigrant.

In HIs faithfulness,

Clark

I was so blessed by your comments to me Mitzi. Now everytime I see a "feather" I'll be thinking of our relationship with Him and what we are called into. "Come to me you who are heavy ladened." Imagine how light we become when we actually allow HIM to lighten our load by surrendering our will to HIS. Have you heard the adage "How can angels fly? Because they take themselves so lightly."

I'm glad you are reading Andrew Murray's "The Kingdom Within." I have some friends who aren't walking with the Lord right now but I'm thinking that a door is being opened where I can take the fellowship to them. It's funny how we used to think, "If they would only come to our church." I now realize that we are a "go to" church and not a "come to" church. I'm thinking of taking Andrew Murray's message and going over that with them, a little at a time, pausing and praying as we go through it That writing is so rich in exploring the wonders of this life in Christ. It would be good for any fellowship to "pray-read" that together.

I'll be posting on John 17 soon. I'm working on an intro presently. So, I hope to be seeing you there. I'll be inviting some others to come on in as well.

Blessings
