Thank you for your brilliant reponses on "How Excess Can Destroy Moves of God!" You said what I would've said, only I wouldn't have been heard -- having been labeled as a heretic.
Yes, it's disheartening. And yet, I have hope...! If God can get ahold of me, in my previous ultra-conservative, uber-orthodox thinking, and renew my mind -- it can be done. .! ;) It's hard when the words turn personal (& they do...), but as you said, we follow God, not man. And God within us enables us to forgive them, for they know not what they do. Just as I didn't ... just as I still don't in the ways which are yet-unenlightened for me.
It will spread, people are awakening - the concept of letting others walk their journey with Jesus, trusting HIM, and not man, to lead, will be an experienced reality. Actually, I'm so grateful for those communities where that's celebrated, rather than feared.
I couldn't give up the freedom to which He's brought me, for anything. He's so lavishly good!
It's kinda hidden and sneaky! Go to the top of your own page, on the right. Click on "Inbox" -- it'll take you to a message page. You can put in my email address (brehmites @ aol . com, minus the spaces), or else use the "friend" option. OR, you can just send me an email, directly. The private message has a limit of characters, but email is endless...! (there's a sermon in there!)
Looking forward to schmoozing..! (& LOVE your photo!)
