I believe we are to be one church. The new testament had only one church in each city. As long as we share the CORE beliefs of christianity we should meet together and let Christ be our center and focus. He can then help us work out the rest. However, most of us have separated from the institutional church. It's not that I feel this is wrong, but I am wondering how this is different. Why is it ok to separate from the institutional church, but not ok to separate for other differences in beliefs?

My husband and I are still in an IC-not a denomination, but we've found, over the yrs, that the charismatic ones can be even more controlling and not allowing the Holy Spirit to move. We are currently elders in this church, and are praying and waiting on the Lord to give us a clear direction on how to/what to do next. We're on Kemp Rd. between St. Rte. 117 and 309.
