Hey Perfectly One!  I've been a member of Simple Church for awhile now, and my family and I just moved to Springfield so I could attend MSU for a master's degree in religious studies.  In our course on "Congregations on the…

I was lead to your page/website because you chose to use John 17 which has always given me comfort and strength. To know that Jesus prayed for us and wants us to be with Him is all I need to know - Father, I desire that they also, whom you have…

About Us?

Verily, verily, it is not about us, it is all about Him, our Lord, our Savior, our God, Jesus Christ and Him crucified. However, I am Mike. My "rib" is Traci, and we are blessed to have on loan to us from God Cristianne, Abbi, and Zack.

Our purpose is first and foremost to glorify God. We live to love Him with all or our heart, mind, soul, and strength, and to love others as we love ourselves. We live to do the will of our Father who is in Heaven. Our strength is centered around Jesus' prayer for the saints in John 17, especially vss. 21-26.

We are simple disciples, followers of Jesus Christ. We are think of ourselves as similar to the Christians you read about in the New Testament. We refer to our church family as only "The Way" as referred to in Acts. We have no “Statement of Faith” except the Bible, since it is our only religious authority. We are trying to shed our old religious ways and traditions of men. As part of the church, we seek to be made ready for the bridegroom. As God lives within each member of His body, we seek to know Him intimately through intimate relationship with one another. To find out more about our gatherings and where God is leading us, visit www.perfectlyone.com and look for "The Way."

And The Lord Said
" I do as the Father has commanded me, so that the world may know that I love the Father." "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself." "Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments."

If you have kept the Ten Commandments, our friends will give you $10,000 cash. This is a legally binding contract. In other words, if you can prove you haven't violated the Ten Commandments, they are legally obligated to give you $10,000. For details visit TenThousandDollarOffer.com

Are Evangelical Christians A More Imminent Danger To America Than Muslim Extremists?

In Job 8:3 the question is posed, “Does the Almighty pervert (misdirect, turn from truth) justice (right; application of equity)? In Genesis 18:25 we read Abraham asking God. “…Shall not the Judge of all the earth do what is just?” Who is Judge of all the earth? What exactly does just mean? Dictionary definitions include: what is right, due; suitable, exactly proportioned, proper, founded in truth and fact, etc.

We can find the answer to our original question posed in Job 8:3 is… Continue

Thoughts on Calvinism and Evangelism

John MacArthur shares his thoughts on the doctrine of election, fatalism, the clarity of gospel, etc. in this audio clip. What do you think about what Dr. MacArthur is saying? Do you believe the Calvinist doctrine of election? Do you believe "the elect are only gathered together only one way, and that is through the preaching of the gospel?" What exactly is the gospel? Do some evangelists damn others by what they… Continue

Courage to Confront

Daniel 4 is Nebuchadnezzar’s personal testimony on how he came to know the God of heaven. Recently I was led to look at this chapter of God’s word from a different perspective. Daniel, who was called Belteshazzar and who was considered by King Nebuchadnezzar to be “chief of the… Continue

Blessed to be a Blessing (Genesis 12:1-3)

A couple of years ago I heard a teaching by Robert J. Strand at Hope Community Church and later read his book called “The B Word: The Purpose and Power of the Blessing.” Both were enlightening and quite insipritation to this still fairly recently born-again Christian.

Today I stumbled across this other well written article on the same subject. God certainly had done a lot of blessing Himself beginning in Genesis 1:28 and it seems like he… Continue
