Randy W. Jordan's Groups

Randy & Mary Jordan-Basicsfellowship.com Focused on being… His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all (Eph. 1:22-23)

Next B.A.S.I.C.S. gathering Saturday Feb 11th 6:30 at the Jordan’s on West Oaks Drive near Fuquay-Varina.

NOTE: It is extremely helpful for planning purposes if you RSVP to let us know you are coming No need to reply if you aren’t coming.   And, as we approach the meal as fellowship around the Lord’s Table, your earnest effort to be on time means you are a part of that and participate in the fullness of our gathering in His name.   I do not want to discourage on the spur of the moment decisions to join us or bring a guest. We always love having you and you are welcome, we always have more than enough, but the courtesy of a response and your promptness is appreciated.

Next B.A.S.I.C.S. gathering will be this Saturday February 11th 6:30 at the Jordan’s on West Oaks Drive near Fuquay-Varina.

REMINDER: Don Donovan will need your application to take part in the ministry to prisoners for the Department of Corrections by next Tuesday. Please have the filled out and bring them Saturday, so he can have them on time. Be a par of  taking part with 3 other expressions of Christ Body to do prison ministry 4 times a year. Don’t miss the mission opportunity.

4 And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God, 5 you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:4-5

The word of the LORD came by the prophet Haggai to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying, 2 "Thus says the LORD of hosts, 'This people says, "The time has not come, even the time for the house of the LORD to be rebuilt."'" 3 Then the word of the LORD came by Haggai the prophet, saying, 4 "Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses while this house lies desolate?"  Haggai 1:1b-4   7 Thus says the LORD of hosts, " Consider your ways! 8 Go up to the mountains, bring wood and rebuild the temple, that I may be pleased with it and be glorified," Haggai 1:7-8

This is the call to rebuild the temple by a people who had been captive in Babylon and, worse yet, comfortable there.  For the remnant called out to the task it seemed impossible, too formidable, crazy.  Haggai encouraged them as God told him to give this a message:

"Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people saying, 'Who is left among you who saw this temple in its former glory? And how do you see it now? Does it not seem to you like nothing in comparison? But now take courage, Zerubbabel,' declares the LORD, 'take courage also, Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and all you people of the land take courage,' declares the LORD, 'and work; for I am with you,' declares the LORD of hosts.  Haggai 2:2-4

If He has declared the time to restore (and I believe He has), and if He has calling many to begin the work (and I believe he is doing so), then they have nothing to fear or doubt for He will be with them!

We will gather for a meal and fellowship and an open and participatory time of ministry before the Lord and to one another under the direction of Jesus, our Head, and administrated by the Holy Spirit in you. Please seek the Lord now about how the Holy Spirit may want to move through you and others to minister and give testimony to principalities and powers above us as we focus on the preeminence of Jesus and worship in spirit and in truth.

Randy and Mary will provide Tacos as an entree.  Please plan to bring appropriate sides or deserts, if you are able.  Do feel free to bring guests/friends.  Make every effort to be on time, and an R.S.V.P. is appreciated for meal planning purposes.

Randy & Mary

And He (God) put all things in subjection under His (Jesus) feet, and gave Him (Jesus) as head over all things to the church, which is His (Jesus) body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Ephesians 1:22-23

How is it then, brethren? When ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. 1st Corinthians 14:26

Hi Randy and Mary :
My family and I used to live in Raleigh. Our youngest child was born there. It is exciting to hear what the Lord is doing through you ! I pray that He continues to lead and bless your labors of love. My husband and I are praying about opening our hearts and home as well.
Blessings to you and yours !

Randy, thanks for a great response on the thread regarding Sean and Frank V. dialog. I think you'll find the dialog on Luke10 more theologically sound. I have been quite surprised by the weird doctrines many have on the simplechurch site. Kind of reminds me of the days of the book of Judges, where everyone did or "believed" what was right in their own eyes......thanks for presenting sound biblical doctrine in your response. I look forward to hearing more from you on this site and Luke10!

From Basic Fellowship:
We are to be “the fullness of Him who fills all in all”. We are the physical manifestation of Christ on the face of the planet. . . under His Headship and with the Help/Power of the Holy Spirit, His body (the arms - hands - feet – voice), the body of the Living Christ. We are the vehicle and the instrument through which He will impact the world and accomplish His purposes! He is to be revealed anytime we come together and through our relationships to each other.
Amen. I encourage you in your efforts. He will be revealed in your fellowship and the fruits thereof. If you want to engage in serious discussion of supporting each other's mission, join us HERE.

Thanks, Randy. No, we are no longer at Church Alive. After wrestling with it and pressing in to the Lord for understanding, He has made it clear. We moved forward in obedience to Him on this and joyfully experiencing freedom in Him and authentic fellowship with other Jesus followers. It is a sweet and adventurous season of change. We saw that you have a Saturday pm fellowship. Thanks for the invite. We also gather on two Saturday evenings at our home (the 2nd and 4th Saturdays at 5:00 pm). Perhaps if we're available sometime on the other weeks, we'll see you and Mary.
Blessings, Randy.

Hi Randy,
Thanks for welcoming us! We are excited to see what God is doing throughout the world and to know we aren't crazy...There are many like us who desire nothing but Jesus for nothing but God's glory!
Hope to see you around, we might check out your group sometime.
Blessings and Peace,
Becky and John

Wow God Bless you brother!!! We share the same heart in many respects. The Lord led me to lead the story about Joseph of Araiithea who took the body of Jesus and spent a life's savings on the tomb, the ebalmings and the garments, and when the Lord spoke that to me I just wept as He put His love for His own body into my heart. I know that the love you have for His body is not your own but comes from our Lord in Heaven!1 God Bless you brother in this work!!!!

Mar. 15:43 Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent council member, who was himself waiting for the kingdom of God, coming and taking courage, went in to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.

Mar 15:44 Pilate marveled that He was already dead; and summoning the centurion, he asked him if He had been dead for some time.

Mar 15:45 So when he found out from the centurion, he granted the body to Joseph.

Mar 15:46 Then he bought fine linen, took Him down, and wrapped Him in the linen. And he laid Him in a tomb which had been hewn out of the rock, and rolled a stone against the door of the tomb.

Mar 15:47 And Mary Magdalene and Mary [the mother] of Joses observed where He was laid.

How this man Joseph, which means abundance and fruitfullness, cared so much for the body of our Lord, and most likely gently carried it with his hand under His head, and holding it close to his chest and his heart so that none if it would be harmed, and no bone would be broken or out of joint, but that all would be intact and whole!!! I have imagined this on many occasions and know that this is the very heart of our Father in Heaven! I also know that this contrast the very self-centered kingdom building mentalitly also where many men have ambitiously built their own kingdoms in the name of the Lord, but totally neglecting the beautiful and wonderful and most precious body of our Lord in the process. I am so encouraged to find your profile on this site, and am so encouraged that we have become friends now. God Bless you in this work brother!
Your brother,
Sandor Szabo

Randy,

Just wanted to let you know that I too admire you and appreciate your comments.

As someone who is also working with Jewish and Israeli believers and non-believers, I can tell you it is a whole nother ballgame.

The Torah is part of the identity of the Jewish people and part of their DNA that God gave them.

I believe it is a mistake to try to seperate them from their God-given DNA, and find that it actually makes their faith in Yeshua all the more rich once they come to that regenerating experience and revelation.

Do you know the story of Joseph?

Do you remember that at the end of the story Jospeh removed his Egyptian clothing so his brothers could recognize him after all of Egypt nearly worshiped him....

Yeshua the Jewish Messiah is also revealing himself to his physical brothers, but needs to remove the Gentile clothing we have put on him for 2000 years.

We see this clearly also in Acts 21 where myriads of Jews came to the Lord and "were zealous for the law."

I would again highly reccomend the book by Ray Pritz "Nazarene Jewish Christianity" to understand the difference between Jewish Torah-keeping Christians (Nazarenes) of the first century and the Judaizers (Ebionites) of the first century.
