Hello Richard. My family and friends are on the simple church journey in OKC, Oklahoma, USA. I am committed to following Jesus in simplicity without human-made additions that would weigh me down. The gospel is too important, our God-given mission to live it and share it is too vital, to waste time and energy on trivial matters. This is why i started the "Simply Follow" group (see groups on this site).

I would like to get your input as a disciple in Germany on these ideas. I will send you an invitation.

Godspeed.

Hello Steve,
I have taken a quick lock to "Simply Follow" - later If I will take more time to go through. My first impression: It is good material, because it is simple and easy to catch. And because it is based on many scriptures.
Specially the group- oriented chapter on the end is very good. It is neccesary to do these kind of courses. I made a DTS course by my self - til beginning of next year I will put together to a workbook. Also I record audios.
There are many good approaches for decipleship training - we must find out the right way to do in our setting. One big challenge is, how to envolve the deciples practically in the daily life in the normal things - without making to much teaching courses

Hey, Good to hear from you! I am still in the UK although the last couple of years I have spent blocks of time in the LA area of the USA. We will see what the future holds. Meanwhile I am focusing on trying to understand new stuff on post modernism and figure out how to adapt small communities of faith to be good news to this new generation!

Mentors are tough to find. Much of it is chemistry. Glad you are pressing on!

Good that you see this. Better not to have a mentor than to have one that does not grasp your vision and direction. We continue on in England and are mentoring teams in Holland and Switzerland. Looking for God to pour out His Spirit in a new way to bring in this new generation to His Kingdom!

Hi Richard, God bless you in Germany.
You are right Europe is a very dark place with a lot of evil tradition.
Europe is spearheading the assault on the Word of God and His authority over His creation.
