"The Pastor Has No Clothes"

“The Pastor has No Clothes!”A Modern AllegoryBy David RyserNothing is more dangerous than blind people who are certain they see clearly.  (Fil Anderson)Once upon a time, there was a pastor of a small church who had big dreams.  He ministered in a church made up of good people who loved Jesus and did their best to honor Him. They genuinely cared for one another and actively served in the church.  They listened attentively to the pastor’s sermons and sought to apply these lessons to their…See More

hey there bro! tell me more about your story -- and hey, you should check out http://occhicago.wordpress.com - we've got a list of organic networks in this region listed there. Our network is the Underground Church Network in Chicago.

The Greenhouse was great! We've been a helping cultivate the Underground for about a year or so now. It's been an adventure. If your house church is interested in being a part of a larger network of faith, we'd love to invite you guys to check out - http://undergroundfamily.ning.com -- its a great way to share resources/ideas/events, etc. But either way - we're family! :)

Tell me more about your dreams/hopes for your house church. What drew you to plant one?

Hey Rusty- Just stumbled upon you on this site as I was looking for others in the Elgin area who are investigating this whole organic thing. My wife and I are part of an organic church centered in Elgin and it's always cool to stumble across others in the area who are a part of the simple church movement. If you're interested, check out our website at www.cityonahillcommunity.com. God bless!

Spoken like a true prophet. I am under direct orders from the King to detox from all public ministry performance for the next six months. My wife and I are recovering from a serious bout she had with breast cancer and I am in the "lay it all down" season of life where God wants to heal me from my years of soul wounds that shaped so much of my performance mentality. I am meeting with two apostolic men who are walking with me through my detox as I also encourage one of my coaches whose wife is battling pancreatic cancer as we speak. I hear you loud and clear. Once God gives the green light, and defines what His plans are for us moving forward then I will be an obedient son. Let's stay in touch. Love, Paul
