Pray for this Dear Friend
But by the grace of god I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect no, I worked harder than…
LOVED the H2H conference.
I came from a 'religious culture' that did not value women or what we had to bring to the body of Christ. We were good for watching the children, and for cooking meals. Other than that, we had little to bring to…
Good Morning! I haven't been active on this site in a long time, though I love the concept. I'm looking forward to getting to know many of you!! I live in North Texas, am involved in 2 simple churches as well as a couple of CO2s. It is…
It's a great idea about face-to-face get togethers. Texas isn't that far away. How about talking to the Lubbock people to see if we can meet there? It's between you guys and us guys in New Mexico. Hmmm, that's a thought! See ya!
Welcome, Sheila! I just joined today as well. I believe we have communicated from the House2House Women's email list Peggy started. I am in Bedford, Tx.. Hope to connect face to face someday.
Hi Sheila. Thanks for writing back so soon. Regarding the lunch on the 23rd...we are going to have to postpone it until we get back from Central America in October. I would love to meet up with you, though. If it doesn't work before October, hopefully the next lunch date we set will work for your schedule!
Evenings and weekends before we leave are pretty full. Let's shoot for maybe sometime around the 3rd week of October. I think you said you live in Decatur? Do you work there, too?
Hi Sheila,
Sounds like an amazing job. Jesus' love through you touches many people in desperate need of His touch. That is awesome. We are new at house church. On staff at a traditional church still, but moving in the simple church direction and very excited about it. Hope to connect in October in person! Blessings!
Hi Sheila,
We moved recently from Kirksville, Mo where we received the "left foot of fellowship" from the Church of the Nazarene in 1992. After trying to find our way through the church maize, we felt called to start a Home Church in 2003. Just as we were launching I received a House2House magazine in the mail. That led to the reading of Houses that Change the World by Wolfgang Simpson. We grew to around forty people so started a new fellowship in a neighboring town and started over again with a core group and then started another in another neighboring town and was ready to start over when we felt God leading us to move to the Nixa area to help care for my wifes mother who had a stroke this past Christmas. We have been visiting various churches since moving here since we don't know anyone in the area (except a nephew, who attend a Nazarene Church in Springfield). We have been baking bread and taking it to our neighbors to get acquainted and to see if God wants to raise up another fellowship in our neighborhood. We are still praying and seeking His will for our lives in this regard as well as finding work.
Thanks for reaching out to us via simple church. We would love to hear your story and we covet your prayers as the spirit leads.
Love in Jesus,
Norm and Joyce
