Ordering our Footsteps - A Cry from the Heart Part 2

Continuation of personal testimonyOrdering our FootstepsA cry from the heart Part 2I go to bed every night thinking on how I am going to write the next page of my testimony. My eyes are closed but within I am awake. At times I am insensitive or maybe just plain lazy to arise and pen down as the Holy Spirit is ministering to me. I am reminded of the Shulammite going to bed in the Songs of Solomon. She hears the knock of her Lover approaching but cannot respond and her excuse is that she has…See More

Times of Prayer

Times of PrayerWe started this prayer point last week attempting to answer the questions what keeps us away from God and what prevents us from progressing in God.I remember watching an action movie once and the hero was very smartly dressed but is involved in a brawl with the villain. The villain tries to get the better of him and tears holes in his shirt. One tear leads to another with the shirt eventually being torn to shreds that the hero eventually has to off his entire shirt. We may not be…See More

Solomon, the most crucial person in my personal growth has been my wife. The way your narrative is developing, it looks as if we might have that in common. By the way, do you think this is fair to suspend your reader in the air of a dramatic…

Continuation of Personal testimony - Ordering our Footsteps

Ordering our FootstepsA cry from the heart Part 1There is always talk that over seventy percent of the citizens in our country are Christians. If this the case then why is there still so much of crime, poverty and substance abuse? There is a great difference between a church attendee, a church member, a Christian and truly born again, Spirit filled son of God.2 Cor 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. As…See More

Greetings Jim. I always admire the wonderful manner in which you compliment the things we write about without ever compromising but bringing about spiritual aligment when necessary. I agree with the aspect of confession related to our spiritual…

Solomon, in recent years, there has been a resurrection of what is being called "the spiritual disciplines" -- scriptural meditation, prayer, confession, journaling, etc -- all essential aspects of life (journaling perhaps being an…

Times of Prayer

Times of PrayerIce-breakers always cause a few laughs when our home groups meet together. We hear some very hilarious experiences and at the same time find out where people are in God or what problems they face. The common question asked around this time of the year is “WHAT GOALS HAVE YOU SET FOR YOURSELF FOR THIS YEAR?” Ninety percent of the time people will answer with “I WANT TO GET CLOSE TO GOD”If this is desire of most people then there are some serious questions we need to ask…See More

The normal trend in the world is to go with the crowd because we want to have a sense of belonging.  In college I had two very good friends John and Mala James who were Christians. They are still very much…

Hi Prophet, there was a man in acts 3 that sat at the gate called beautiful. He was also positioned there for almost 38 years. Beauty part of this story is that Jesus went to the same temple. Jesus had lived 33 years. That means Jesus would have passed this man often. Why did not Jesus heal him?

I beleive that Christ was wanting the sons of God to revealed. Jesus could have healed him by Himself.

Rom 8:19-22
19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. NKJV

Creation is groaning for the sons of God. Let us present Christ and not religon.

Hi Solomon....gaood to meet you, well sort of!! I spent many years in Durban before I was 'saved'. Grew up on the North Coast (Empangeni) then moved to Durban to do my apprenticeship at Lever Brothers on Maydon Wharf before going to the Army (where I got saved) and spending several years in the Military Police at Natal Command. And now the Good Lord has my family and I here in England. Blessings Duncan
