Originally, the intended audience in my mind was  Christian radio directed at the 15-29 demographic.  This in part shows in the one commentary on what to do if you don't know the answer to a question.  This is straight from…

Hi Tom, Have you recorded any of these? As I read through some of your scripts, I wondered who was your intended audience?

As of yet, I haven't scraped up funds to broadcast, but I have recorded 65 two minute commentaries.  I have written 100 two minute scripts, and posted them on my blog, tevyebird.blogspot.com, all appearing in the December, 2010…

Grace and Peace Tom,   The program is actually sponsored by another believer who feels that what we broadcast can make a difference in the listeners' life and is in essence evangelistic in content. I also emphasize the concept of Simple…

Thanks for responding, Earline.  I see you are in Trinidad, and I don't have much of a grasp of how different your culture is from the one I am in.  I could ask all kinds of questions, as the dream I have is for something very…

I presently have a 30min. program running on a secular Radio Station twice monthly entitled "Your Family Matter". I think it is a very powerful media and reaches allot of persons seeking truth. Earline

two minor cultural footnotes

In a previous blog, I mentioned that I also blog on christianblog.com, but, when I went to make an entry there for the first time in a while, I found that they changed their rules such that, after 25 blogs, one had to become a premier (that is, paid) member. Also, over the years, it has become harder for anyone not signed up as a member to even see the blogs, with the exception of a few that appeared on the home page. Therefore, I will not be blogging there. I must note that I have not…

on Frank Viola's speech at the 2007 Dallas convention

I get to do a lot of writing on simplechurch.com, and will be on christianblog.com, because I currently have a job that entails sitting at a desk and a) pushing a button when authorized persons come to a door, and b) taking notes for anyone wishing to communicate to someone else that isn't there. Most of the time, that means, nothing at the moment. Therefore, last night, I went to frankviola.com and listened to the speech marked, The House Church Movement. From information in it, I perceive… Continue

On the "tipping point" concept

Recently, I have seen a couple of writings in various places on simplechurch.com which refer to the concept of "tipping point." As I understand it, and I encourage anyone to correct me if I am wrong, the idea is that, if one has a bucket held at an angle, and a material is dripping or falling into it, the material falls and falls, but nothing comes out of the bucket. Then, at a certain point, the tipping point, just a slight amount added to the bucket makes it tip, and the material comes… Continue

on Robert Banks' Pauls Idea of Community: The Early House Churches in their Historical Setting

Banks begins the Preface with “This is not a technical book, nor a popular one either.” By technical, he is referring to the graduate school/seminary and up group. For the most part, this book is written at a level a believing church leader without such training can find it useful. In my opinion, though, the preface, introduction, Chapter 1, many of the footnotes, and parts of the appendix lean toward theological use alone; if you are not such a person, there is much to gain from Chapters 2… Continue

An intellectually insulting letter from who...

A little background on my political views. As I see it, in the U.S, the Democratic Party is more congruent than its opposition to my Christian beliefs on the subject of social justice, and the Republican Party, in theory, is more congruent on all other issues. As a practical matter, I see the Republican Party as being equally corrupt, providing us with a roughly equal amount of moral and monetary scandals. As such, I have never been active with either party, nor ever given them money.… Continue

Hi Tom,
I'm Edgar from the Philippines. I'd like to invite you to read my article at www.bibleone.net/TheMillennium.htm. The millennium doctrine is vital for Christians to understand. It has to do with the word of the kingdom and the salvation of the soul, notspirit (Matt. 13:19; 1 Pet. 1:9; James 1:21; Heb. 10:39 Matt.16: 24-28). I'd appreciate a comment, but you are not obligated.
Thanks,
Edgar Meneses

Hi Tom - good to hear from you. The link is merely my email address which will use whatever email software is on your computer. Your software my not be in use if you only use a web-based email.
I am sure your "scattered comments" are a blessing. I'll keep you informed if anything develops regarding helping house church folks.
Sorry - I don't know of anyone who has a lot of knowledge regarding computer audio recording techniques.
God Bless you Tom!

Dear Tom,
Thank you very much for replying, after almost a year. For the most part I agree with your comment. You said it would take some time for you to study my idea (not my idea, it's in the Bible) that not all Christians will be the Bride of Christ, only a part of the Body will be. May I suggest something again?: -- I have written an article related to the subject. I will be happy to send it to you if you would send me your regular email address, as the article is not posted on the internet. Title is, "Warning to Christians: TEARS IN HEAVEN!!!," 13 pages. This article should "expedite" your study.
Don't worry, I will not abuse your email address. I will not email you unless necessary.
Your brother in Christ,
Edgar ([email protected])
