Hi tarahilliard,
I'm Edgar from the Philippines. I'd like to invite you to read my article at www.bibleone.net/TheMillennium.htm. The millennium doctrine is vital for Christians to understand. It has to do with the salvation of the soul, not spirit (1 Pet. 1:9; James 1:21; Heb. 10:39; Matt. 16:24-28). I'd appreciate a comment, but you are not obligated.
Thanks,
Edgar Meneses
Hey Tara, just thot I'd let you know that my brother, Dave (who is also on this website...just too busy right now to do much with it) just opened a new shop not too far from you in Spring Arbor. So if you're looking for good coffee/tea, panini's, and the best Ice Cream you've every had, take your family down to visit. He's located in the strip mall on the south side of M-60 just as you come to SA (about a mile west of the University). The name of his place is "Marcella's" (named after his wife), but the sign may not be up yet. It's the only "coffee house/ice cream parlour" there. If you want to really get him going, ask him, "Where do you go to church?" LOL Before he get's going too far, let him know I put you up to it... :-)
Good Evening, Tara! Wow! Life is busy... I’m busy here as well. Sounds like your husband keeps some of the same kind of hours. I go to work between 5 and 5:15. Where I work is only a mile on the other side of the grounds from where I live. A short day for me is 8 or 8 ½ hours. Today it was 10 ½ . Last week I was cooking for 380, this week end its only been 180.
It sounds like you have a good thing going with the small group you are meeting with. It’s all about intimacy and the freedom to let the Spirit lead how He wants. He seems to get that freedom more in a small group. That’s cool that you hooked up with an organic church in Mason. How did you connect with them? I connected with a couple who are from Charlotte. They are on the simple church website, but they are extremely busy, too! We met at the H2H conference. Sandy was part of our small group in the workshops we attended. It would be really neat if the Lord gives us a network in all of this. There is another bigger house church here in Hillsdale, but they are moving in the direction of becoming more like the IC they left. There are about 50 of them (7 or 8 families) that meet in a school on Sunday mornings. They’re becoming more and more structured and organized.
We are looking forward to meeting you and your family and hearing how the Lord has worked and is working in your lives. The Lord has done and is doing sooo much in us, too. Lois gets here next Saturday, then the following Fri am (the 24th) we leave for 10 days, then she’s scheduled to leave for TX the 8th. Since I am taking that time off, I have to work everyday before and after the trip, but I’m done between 2 and 3 every afternoon. I don’t know if we’ll be able to connect before we leave... we’ll pray and see what the Lord works out. If you find it more convenient, you or your husband can feel free to call me. My number is 517-425-7234. I’m easier to reach after 2. Blessings to you (Eph 1:3-6), Mark.
Figured it out... If you go to Members and type in "MI" or "Michigan" in the search field pages come up that match your results. It looks like you are searching all fields so the search for MI is bringing up many Mikes, but it does work. Thanks again for the invite.
Hi Tara! I noticed your beautiful face last night (or was that early this morning! LOL) on the side bar of the main page. Too weary to drop a note at the time, this morning I log on to see your entire family - oh my! Immediately I knew I wanted to say hello and welcome! . . .and then it hit me! You've the same last name as my late husband's oldest sons. (They have their Momma's maiden name) What a unique coincidence for me. :)
Hi Tara,
I can let Mark respond to how it works with kids as he knows better than I. I know there are kids in Hudson, as Paul is my brother and he has 2 girls, but they are older, (12 yrs and 14 yrs) but I think there are others with kids there too. He's a member here too if you can find him. He's not on here very much so we haven't gotten all of the connections figured out yet. I hope it works out to meet you! Blessings on you and yours!!!
Wow, how cool is that!! I know it would be a bit of a drive, but I think you would enjoy meeting with either Mark's group, or Paul's in Hudson. I will be coming up to visit a week from Sat, (18th) for one week. ( I live in El Paso, TX) Maybe you could come down...that would be so cool!! Or we could meet in Jackson for lunch or something. I am looking forward to the beauty of Mi in the fall!! BTW, any relation to Hilliards from Clare MI?
Hey Tara, welcome! How did you find out about this site? Mark, my boyfriend and the guy in this picture, lives in Hillsdale, and has a home fellowship there. Are you meeting with anyone in Jackson? Blessings! Lois
