Too many times we want the gift that God has given us to be developed, but we don’t want God. Wanting God is something done with action and not our mouth. We need to stop verbalizing things without actually doing them. Actions are much louder than words. Wanting God is not fitting Him into a small space to acknowledge His existence, and that’s it. We need to be setting our life up around communing with the Person we say is everything to us. If He is our life then why do we have a hard time…

We have gotten away from interpretation of the Word of God solely based on the authority of the Bible. We have a tendency to look at the Word of God and then look toward someone that looks mature in the faith and benchmark what we have read with their life. This is one of the main reasons we have people calling themselves Christians but living just like the world. The bible has enough people in it to benefit from their lives. Actually the word came through their life so that we can receive the…

People seem to have a different perspective then God when it comes to having a successful life. One of the main things that I’m hearing from people is that a successful life is based on ease of life. Moreover they say having financial stability or a good career that provides financial stability. It seems to me as I talk to them further the stability is one reason, but another is the ability to do and get whatever they want, seems to be the underlining issue. It is cloaked or masked as financial…

God, it is your perfect will that brings successful change. Successful change is becoming more like Christ. People are not even close to holding this standard. This is why we can not put people on a pedestal or base something as important as our salvation upon a person other than Christ. People go about their lives, living for one another like spouses, children, parents, Pastors, even fellow brother and sisters in Christ. They say to themselves that “I’m going to live my life like this person”,…

Memorial Day is right around the corner. This celebration frequently stirs-up fond memories for most of us of the “beginning of summer”, family picnics, parades, visiting cemeteries, flying American flags, the first water activities of the year
and the Indianapolis 500.
Formerly known as Decoration Day, Memorial Day was
officially appointed May 30, 1868 to commemorates U.S. men and women who have been killed in military action. However, “according to Professor David…

Last Saturday, May 16, 2009, 'we' declared the first day of The Church in Texarkana. That makes today, day 3. We (2 families and my son) got together and shared what we were doing by starting a house church, Asked and answered questions, had a common meal together with communion, sang songs, prayed and just worshiped in general. Our meeting began at about 6:00PM and ended at 9:45. What a blessed time it was. We plan to meet in any house that is suggested and at no regular intervals. We convened…

Follow Me!
As a teenager I received Jesus as my Savior, joined the IC, began to fail in my walk immediately because I was given the understanding from the Pastor "That now that you are a Christian, you 'have to live for Jesus'". Then he went on to elaborate what that meant. You must be in Church every time the door is open or as often as possible, you must tithe and give offerings. You must witness as much as possible, keep the commandments and many other such rules. I was never told that…

Have we reached the tipping-point time to end this abomibal abortion in America?
Last Thursday my wife, Sue, and I drove 4 1/2 hours south to Houston, Texas for a conference. It was the USAR, US Alliance for Reformation. In this conference they addressed two main topics that have been really pressing in on my heart for over a year now. They are the issue of ending abortion and bringing revival in America. Well, hit me with a dead mackrel, I didn't realize how connected these two issues…

"There is something hidden and mysterious about freedom. It is like manna in that is always a gift given, and never a product controlled and understood. Like manna, it is not something that can be stored up and taken for granted, because than it turns sour and we don’t have it anymore. It states the heart of our faith and our greatest temptation. It is that which we most want, and yet every calculation effort to secure it is fraught with problems. It is always a delicate reality in our lives.…

Commitment..
>
Mother’s Day luncheon at my home I sat in amazement watching all of my 13 kids serving me and honoring me as their mom! Whether my kids came to me through natural birth or adoption their love and commitment was still the same!
The story of Ruth reminded me of my home that weekend! Ruth’s statement of commitment in Ruth 1:16 & 17 says, “But Ruth said: Entreat me not to leave you, or to turn back from following after you; For wherever you go, I…

This week, we are in the beautiful Smokey Mountains (NC). We left KY yesterday after a great house gathering with friends. God is so good! I just want to thank the Lord for putting such awesome people in our lives. I am reading the book by Shane Claiborne called, "The Irresistable Revolution." I love reading a good book while on vacation. You know, God loves reading a good book too. We are His love letters in the earth. We are read of all men.…

Good Monday Morning Saints
I hope you had the unspeakable JOY and privilege of assembling with the congregation of Saints to start the new week. I have been having a spiritual ball adding to my public archive at Scribd.com. I had seen reference to the sight in passing, but you know how these things go right past your screen until the Lord makes it personal. Well it became personal when my son David was sent to Iraq this month.
His family gave him a love gift as he…

We have been out of the organized church for about 11 yrs. We have home churched about 9 of those
years. It all started out good but took a turn about half way through. We became a church meeting in
the homes. We have tried to go back to traditonal churches but am not satifisfied. We are lonely, we have
a few folks we get with occasionally. We are located in the country which makes it hard when inviting folks to
come over because we are so far from everything and everybody.…

Everything Is Spiritual Because God Made Everything
By Robert Ricciardelli www.vision2advance.com
Everything is Spiritual because God made everything. Everything has it's origins from God. Computers originate from God through His creation. Even things had began with good intentions because they were God's intentions, all originate from Almighty Creator of ALL Things. The devil himself originates from God. You cannot escape God…
