About our church - newlife

Hi, my name is Marg and I am married to Pete. We were the first two members of our new church/fellowship which started in May 2009.

Our group has been going for only a couple of months and is very gradually growing in numbers. I purposefully only invite people who no longer belong to a church, for whatever reason, and some have just invited themselves. (A couple of times we only had only person turn up to a meeting, but both those people came back!, and are now definitely part of our… Continue

Spiritual Credit Score...

Do you know what your credit score is? Everyone has one. A credit score shows the lender that you have good credit. It shows responsibility. It shows if you have unpaid bills or not. It shows if you have paid well or if you have been lagging behind. One thing for sure, you can’t run from your credit score. Some credit scores are good and some aren’t so good. No matter where you move or where you live, your credit score will follow you.

A realtor once told me that if I had things on… Continue

Beautiful but Deadly

For years, workers and visitors flocked to the sight of silvery dust flakes that floated to the floor in a mill where steel strips rolled over pads in a tall cooling tower. In his book The Heat: Steelworkers’ Lives and Legends, steelworker Joe Gutierrez tells how beautifully “the snow danced in August.”

Then people discovered the dust was asbestos. “Everybody breathed it,” wrote Gutierrez. He now suffers from the slow, choking grip of asbestoses, as do many plant… Continue

The Blood of Jesus Possesses The Life of Jesus!

Have you ever had an out of the body experience? Now not like you may initially think, but still a situation where you feel events have taken over and you are on the outside looking in, even as things unfold you can’t believe you are doing, or saying things that under “normal” circumstances you wouldn't even consider.

My daily prayer and desire is to allow Father's love to flow through me touching anyone he chooses to place in my life each and every day. Sounds simple… Continue

SPIRITUALITY - ARE SUFFERING AND WORSHP RELATED?

As I knelt to lift the last item into our motor home, the snap in my back threw me to my knees. I immediately knew, “I’m in trouble!” Scheduled to spend a week at Virginia Beach for a reunion, and then on to Florida and Wisconsin for conferences, my husband questioned, “What are we going to do?”

Not wanting to “ruin the plans”, I responded, “Let’s go! I’ll lie on the couch, let my muscles settle and I’ll be fine.” A quick prayer and we were on the road. For 1200 miles, I had a… Continue

Permission to Do Church Differently!

In April 2006 I began to read Third Day Churches, by Gary Goodell. The subtitle reads, “Permission has been granted to do church differently in the third millennium.”

Preposterous! Was Gary Goodell reading my journal?! Was he listening in on my prayers?! Reading my thoughts?! Spying on my reading?! Discerning my inmost dissatisfaction with church-as-usual?! How did Gary so accurately understanding my craving for a radically fresh way of doing church?!

Well, it turns… Continue

“Walk in the Light as I am in the Light” I woke up with these words in my head the other morning… sort of like it was a part of my dream as I was waking up. I pondered these words all morning and it kept coming to my mind randomly throughout that day and the next and I kept thinking that it reminded me of a scripture but I didn’t know it off hand and kept intending to look it up… Finally two days later as I was laying in bed and Tom was on the… Continue

HIS EYES

Its when I know myself for real,

the arrogance, self sufficency,

His eyes are on the righteous,

are His eyes still looking at me.

My Spirit is not right,

my heart is full of pride,

will You look on me,

or say go wash make yourself

clean then come back to Me.

Having friends around me,

only saying things that make me happy.

No let them be the ones who tell me,

like it is, for it is the truth that sets me free.

You are my Father, I… Continue

Thou shalt not judge

The problem

Josh McDowell has stated that in our day, Matthew 7:1 "Do not judge..." has replaced John 3:16 "For God so loved the world..." as the most widely recognized and quoted verse.

I believe this to be the case and I think the primary reason for it, at least in our culture, is the postmodern attitude our culture has taken when it comes to truth in general and moral truth in particular ((A condition known as moral relativism.)). As alarming as this is, though, what I… Continue

God Answers Prayer!

I had requested prayer for God's leading to the right course of study and He has graciously answered.

I began researching various Bible College Prospectus and managed to minimise the results to three colleges.

After prayerful consideration I had managed to bring that number down to one, but before I was finally decided I felt impressed by The Holy-Spirit to speak with my cousin Alan, who is also a member of "Church With No Walls."

I was to meet Alan, 27th July… Continue

A Perfect Fit

Good morning! I hope you had a great weekend.

Any shade tree mechanic or do it yourself repair man knows the importance of having the right tool in hand. A slotted screwdriver just won’t do, when the task calls for a Phillips head. Needle nose pliers are just no substitute for a socket wrench. Without the right tools for the job, the job is likely to be done poorly or not at all.

The issue is purpose. The assorted tools in the toolbox were designed for specific purposes.… Continue

His House composed of Living Stones

1Pe 2:5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Hbr 3:6 But Christ is faithful as a son over God's house. And we are his house, if we hold on to our courage and the hope of which we boast

Hbr 10:21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, From these scriptures we can say, " The Church is the House of God." And we… Continue

TO MOVE IN THE SUPERNATURAL IS NATURAL FOR THE TRUE CHURCH OF CHRIST.

TO MOVE IN THE SUPERNATURAL IS NATURAL FOR THE TRUE CHURCH OF CHRIST.

Is there any place where we can declare the Name of Yahvahshua without the appearing of the manifestations of the Holy Spirit confirming with signs and wonders who is this Person, this King of Kings, and Lord of Lords?

Unless we can move in the supernatural power of Yahvahshua, then we should not move at all.

If we build without this supernatural foundation, then our building is built on sand and… Continue

Ambassadors Missing in Action by Robert Ricciardelli

The more I learn of God’s Kingdom the more goodness I see, the more love I see, and the more I want to endlessly live in His realm. Living in His realm allows you to see the world as Father sees it, above the noise, the chatter, the evil, the fear, and all the stuff that consumes us, and tries to take us away from His glorious presence.

We have a Father who is not moved by the plans and devices of men. The world today is not catching Him by surprise. His plan, His Kingdom, continues… Continue

SPIRITUALITY - RECLAIMING HOPE & HEALING (Part 2)

Has the world system lured the “church” into thinking that one must be professionally trained in order to help those with “real” problems? Have we been persuaded that the Body of Christ has no power to help? Do we truly believe that it is the “wise men” according to the world’s standard whom God uses to accomplish His work? If so, why?

Why is the church so willing to buy into the lie that the world’s knowledge is such a necessary thing when God’s Word is so clear? It was Joseph, a… Continue

Why the first Christians were called a "Third Race"

Why the first Christians were called a "Third Race"

In the 2nd century A.D., Diognetus, a Roman official, wanted to know about the new Christian movement. He learned this:

“Christians are not distinct from other people by nationality, language, or customs. They do not inhabit separate cities of their own, or speak a strange dialect, or follow some strange way of life. Their teaching is not based on ideas inspired by their own human curiosity. Unlike other people, they champion… Continue
