Daniel 4 is Nebuchadnezzar’s personal testimony on how he came to know the God of heaven. Recently I was led to look at this chapter of God’s word from a different perspective. Daniel, who was called Belteshazzar and who was considered by King Nebuchadnezzar to be “chief of the…

A couple of years ago I heard a teaching by Robert J. Strand at
Hope Community Church and later read his book called “The B Word: The Purpose and Power of the Blessing.” Both were enlightening and quite insipritation to this still fairly recently born-again Christian.
Today I stumbled across this other well written article on the same subject. God certainly had done a lot of blessing Himself beginning in Genesis 1:28 and it seems like he…

IF CHRIST WALKED THE EARTH TODAY
Thursday, 18. December 2008
By Kriston Couchey
If Christ walked the earth today...
Drug addicts and drunks would find joy unspeakable
Pornographers and porn addicts would find real consuming passion
Gays and lesbians would find their true identity
New agers would embrace the age of the Kingdom of God
Feminists would experience the ultimate shattered glass ceiling
Murderers would find a love…

A few days ago, John Smulo at "
smulospace" wrote a post called "
Why I'm Glad Not To Be A Pastor Anymore". John says that he is disillusioned with the "predominant models of 'pastor'" and that he's glad that he's not in that position anymore because:
1. I get to spend so much more time with my family.
2. I get to spend more time with friends.
3. It's…

WHAT THE BIBLE TELLS US OF IS THE NATURAL, CARNAL AND SPIRITUAL MAN.
1 Cor 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
1 Cor 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
Cor 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of…

Today was another great day!! Tom and I spent the morning together with the Lord and reconnected some more. God is so good! I know that the prayer from Friday night had a lot to do with this. We feel like we are gaining back some of the ground we had lost.
Another cool thing is that the tire is holding the air now!! Neal prayed and God answered :) Also, Tom looked up online the situation with our camera and found out that there is a recall…

Living Loved 8
Help Me Hear Your Heart
By Chuck Tooman
I invest the time to hear the hearts of people I love
The hearts I invest the time to hear become people I love
There are times when one cannot help overhearing a conversation. Two people in another section of the waiting room were discussing an urgent matter when I heard one of them say, “Help me understand…”.
Three words, “Help me understand…” became immediately imbedded in my being and over…

Love as no end
Who can comprehend the love of Jesus? A love that sent him from heaven's glory to earth's dust, and eventually to misery on the cross. When we consider the sacrifices of our Savior, none of us can really grasp the full measure of his love. It simply engulfs us, giving us life and blessings that we never deserved.
Thousands of years ago, the apostle Paul wrote of this love: "How wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ" (Eph. 3:18). , Deep Love…

Friends, at the beginning of this short video message is both a testimony that will excite you, and the call for us to walk in such a way that those who meet us meet Jesus... We will be strong and do exploits... taking God seriously. This isn't hard. God is really good. Its ministry without being intentional or organized... Love it!

Question of the day:
How are you finding room for Jesus?
On retreat I once wrote in my journal, “How good of you, God, to make truth a relationship instead of an idea. Now there is room between you and me for growth, for conversation, for exception, for the infinite understandings created by intimacy, for the possibility to give back and to give something to You—as if I could give anything back to You. You offer the possibility to undo, to please, to…

Boy, that word takes the wind out of the sail quickly. We had a Men's breakfast Saturday and my brother RJ talked about the underground Church in Turkey. When he was going through a list of things that makes the Church strong, he listed suffering. There was an audible groan. It was as if, that is nice for them but we don't want any.
I suffered this last week and did not do it very well. I was without my wife, my love and bride all week and it was a very very hard week work wise. I am…

Not long ago, I reviewed Frank Viola's latest book
Reimagining Church (see my post "
Reimagining Church"). Before I finished the book, and before I wrote the review, Frank prompted me several times to finish it and review it. He also answered some questions that I had about the book. Finally, I asked if I could interview him, and he agreed. While I was not able to sit…

Our Preparation for the Messiah
Question of the day:
How are you preparing to see Jesus down here?
Remember, as Paul quoted, “The Word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (Romans 10:8), and Paul precedes that line from Deuteronomy with a challenge that I would repeat today, “Do not tell yourself that you have to bring Christ down!” (10:6). The mystery of the Incarnation is precisely the repositioning of God down here once and…

Good morning! I hope you had a great weekend.
This past week I spent some time with a man who is both a friend and trusted advisor. He has taken a great interest in my work over the past 18 months, but has taken particular interest in the church planting ministry that I launched in November. As we were talking, he addressed with me his concern over my foundation. As I probed into his statement, he accurately assessed that I was beginning to rapidly put together a structure, but my…

Today was another good day… although it started out strange. I slept in way too late so I was frustrated that I didn’t have the time I needed to get things done before I went to Gerry and Faye’s. I think because it was dark and stormy outside my body did not respond to waking up since there was no light in the room. I also had a very strange dream about Obama… I don’t even want to describe it and I am not sure what that was all about but I am sure…

We need to be very careful to really start to eat God's Word. We need to just be able to have it rise up for our warfare. It has to be second nature. I found myself having a very hard week. Now I feel very weak. I needed somethings to be second nature to come out of my heart and do the warfare.
2 Corinthians 10:4-6 (NASB)
4 for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.
5 We are destroying speculations and every…

EVERYONE’S GOING TO BE SAVED EVENTUALLY…AREN’T THEY? (PART 2)
By Ken Silva pastor-teacher on Oct 2, 2008 in AM Missives, Current Issues
Do I not hate those who hate You, O LORD? And do I not loathe those who rise up against You? I hate them with the utmost hatred; They have become my enemies. (Psalm 139:21-22, NASB)
So How Does God View Sin?
In Everyone’s Going To Be Saved Eventually…Aren’t They? we began our look at this crucial issue but to answer the…

Forgiving, healing, enlightening, liberating, enriching all: From the wounds of the Savior of the World flows virtue to make us into His image and likeness.
His stripes: our healing provided.
His beard yanked out: our maturity secured.
His face beaten and disfigured as they mocked Him saying, "Prophecy, who hit you" while He was blindfolded: our identity displayed and our prophetic insight certified.
His crown of thorns: our peace of mind and wisdom…

We went to see The Living Christmas Tree last night. It was awesome!!! It was the first time I had seen it. The choir was actually in the tree and they had an orchestra playing the music. Little kids sang to and they told the story of Jesus' birth. It was truly amazing! I will post pics later. I also have an urgent prayer request. My husband is no longer able to work because of his back and we don't know when he will get anymore money. He was getting shot term disability but it stopped two weeks
