If Church Is Not A Building Where Is It

We can get hung up on a building, a house, a place in looking for church. But there is one location, a special where, that is key to finding the church!

And then there is the matter of fullness in the church - God has a special way He wants that to happen.

If you are wondering about the where please click here for the full message.

What Happened to Simon the Pharisee

I found myself feeling this compassion for Simon the Pharisee as my ponderings have been unfolding about him and the immoral woman who washed Jesus' feet. The question was stirred - whatever happened to Simon? What was the 'rest of the story'?

Several years ago I certainly wouldn't have even given him much thought. He would have been pretty much 'lost' in my feeble estimation.

Praise God, He has been taking me on a journey learning about grace over the last number of…

Finding your Identity in Christ

Simba was the son of the King, the heir to the throne. He was living a carefree life, hakuna, matata, no worries. Until he realized he had a mandate to restore his father’s kingdom.

As believers if we wander around not knowing who we are, we won’t ever step into our Kingdom mandate. As sons and daughter of the…

Warfare

There seems to be an urgency in the Body of Christ these about people wanting to understand spiritual warfare. I think that maybe it because of the condition of America right now but that is a subject for another day. I have been searching a way to give a friend understanding of spiritual warfare in a way that makes sense. Yesterday while at a ministry leadership conference I heard something, we should all ponder on, this person said, “Warfare is occupational”. In other words he said that…

Heaven and hell are asking the same question, “Who you are?”

When you look into a mirror what do you see?

Do you see what God sees or do you see the lie of Satan?

If you were to ask someone today who are you, most would reply by stating their job title, their race or religion, or how they feel about themselves. You would hear, “I’m a doctor,” “I’m an American,” I’m a Baptist,” “I’m a loser,” or I’m depressed.”

Today, heaven and hell are asking the same question, “Who are you?”

If you ask…

Water Baptism and Salvation

Baptism in scripture is associated with salvation.  ‘He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.” (Mark 16:16)  What does it mean to be saved or why do we need salvation?  Salvation relates not to our sins or the forgiveness of our sins, or is not something we receive in heaven when we die (we do not need salvation in heaven), No! The need for salvation is related to the world-system into which we are born.  The domain known in…

House church in Kathmandu, Nepal

Hello all,

It's been a little over a year since we moved from India to Nepal (Kathmandu) as a family as missionaries with the main intention to plant house churches and to train others for the same. But it's been only three weeks now since we started a gathering in our house. Presently, we're trying to reach out to the neighborhood with the Gospel but I've been also teaching for the last one year in a Bible school on house church as a result of which some of the past students…

The Glorious Shipwreck

Dear Saints in Jesus

The other night I was going through 'YouTube' on Gospel music and one 'youtube' lead me to another and my eyes caught the attention of the title "The Glorious Shipwreck". I felt compelled to open it -this is God-Incident of leading me to this U-tube of showing me of what He is doing in my life.

This VDO clip 'troubled' me in the night. When I said troubled me -it was in a good way as the Lord was speaking to me about important issues in which I had…

Mercy Me...

I can remember when I was a kid; a hot summer day with a couple of friends doing the stuff the boys do. In the backyard on a carpet of green grass which now had become our Colosseum. Gladiators clad with armour – dirty Chuck Taylors, jeans and t-shirts standing our ground, arms outstretched,…

Tough Love...

We’ve all heard the phrase “tough love”, maybe even experienced it in our adolescence as we clumsily navigated through some rebellious patch of our life growing up. Hopefully you are not still stuck there. It can be painful both as a parent and a recipient of tough love. I however, have been experiencing tough love of a different nature lately and this morning took a moment to meditate on it. What I’m dealing… Continue

Core competencies: Story telling

A couple of the core competencies that I mentioned in the last post have provoked some comment. So this post will look at the first of these: telling stories.
